anaemic!!

Hi Girls,

Went for my pre op and was sent for blood tests (mission) as I suffer on and off with anaemia.

Really hope the results are ok as been told they wont perform surgery!!!!

Slightly anxious now and having bad dreams, waking up and cant breath.

Anyone else had the anaemia issue as ive been told to stop my vitamins which keep it at bay

Any advice would be appreciated

Hi Hunn, I have anemia too I’m 7 weeks post op. I didn’t stop my iron tablets until 3 days Pre op as I knew my anemia can be pretty bad and after researching the topic I didn’t think it was a danger. It would have been a lot more dangerous for my iron levels to drop. I would talk to your nurse Hunn and ask if you could carry on with your iron tabs xx

She said ive gotta stop my multis and get just iron ones and take them until I can start my multi vits 2 weeks post op. Def think its back at the mo though which is worrying x
