    Hi!

I literally just turned 18 and I’ve been researching and considering implants for years.

Would it be best to wait a year to grow and stuff? I also need to get my credit rating up, I’m gonna need finance, although I have a grand for a deposit.

I’m a 32/34A, 5’9ish and slim. I want to go up to a natural looking D cup. I was thinking round, moderate profile, under implants. Does that sound okay? Any pictures would be SO helpful!

Has anyone had the implants put through a scar in the nipple? What’s it like?

How have all you experiences been with MYA? I’ll be going to the clinic in Holborn London.

How’s the aftercare? Is it lifetime? And is it included in the cost? Are you covered for rupture and capsular contraction?

Sorry for the amount of questions! Xx

Personally you are so young babe, I would wait. I wanted them since I was 12 lol but when I hit 20/21 they were quite nice B cup’s and then I had my Son and went down to an A and at the age of 29 finally had my BA nearly 3 weeks ago and for me that was the right time.

As for the other questions you are best to have a free chat with a PC at Mya. I would definitely rate Mya as a great company if and when you do decide that this is something that you would like to do xxxx

Hiya hun, I’m 18 and have got my BA not tomorrow but the next day :) .. My advice is save up as much as you can so if you don’t get accepted for finance you have started saving! Yes it is a lifetime aftercare and you are covered for capsular contraction and rupture- depending on what implant you have its either 10yrs or lifetime, but if that was going to happen it would most probably happen in the first year or 2. I wouldn’t get your heart set on what profile or implant size you will be wanting as your sergeon would know best and would advise you depending on what size you would like to me and what your look you would like to go for and what will look best on you. Book a consultation as your Personal Coordinator will give you all the answers to your questions. Hope that’s helped a bit xxx

hen hun, you are super young but it sounds like you’re being very sensible about it all and not rushing into anything. Maybe arrange an sppointment with a patient co-ordinator and then you can ask anything you want to know.

I think what you’re talking about is a nipple lift where the implants would be inserted in the normal way (in the crease of your boob) but if you needed a mini lift, the surgeon would also perform a nipple lift which would leave a scar around your nipple. Many girls get away with having just the implants though and don’t need one of these although there are plenty of girls on here who are having/had the lift (me included!)

I’m not sure about the Holborn clinic as I go to the Leeds one but your patient co-ordinator will also be able to go through aftercare etc. You are only ‘lifetime guaranteed’ if you go for the Naturelle range of implants which are a little more pricey and by lifetime guarantee, it is only the implants that are covered and it’s just against rupturing I believe. So if your implant was to rupture 12 years down the line, they would replace the implants free of charge and contribute £700 (I think) towards your surgery but you’d have to cover the rest of the cost. I think capsular contracture is covered for something like 3 years xx

I was going to do it when I was 18 my mum asked me to wait a year which I did :( I wud of done it at 18 but that year my boobs did grow … But after I turned 19 I went to transform b Mya n picked Mya … X

    Menu

    Thank you all soooo much!

To @hollyboi I meant where the implant is inserted throught the nipple, I read you could do that. I don’t want to get the scar done under my boob lol I’ll hate the scar! But I’m scared of it going numb haha. Xx

Yeah I might wait a year and (hopefully) I might grow! :)

    Menu

I waited till after I had my children as your body can change so much during pregnancy etc and I didn’t want to end up needing it doing again a few years later , book a consultation and ask all the questions you want to no then I’m sure u will b decided on what’s best good luck xx

I don’t plan to have kids until I’m like 30, but thank you all so much! I think I’m gonan wait a year to save up and see if I grow a bit, but I’m so unhappy with my body I don’t think I could wait til I had kids. :(

    Thank you though! :D Xx

Tbh I wished I done it sooner but I’m glad I waited to grow more as I wanted overs n tbh bk then I bet I cudnt have over because I didn’t have much tissue… So it’s one of them lol everyone is different … Why dnt u do it 6months ? Not that long n it will take that too build your credit that what my bank said so I got a credit card spend like 10 per month on it n pay it bk off to build mine …. Yes your young but as long as long as you no Wot ur doing and you have the support etc go for it whenever you like I say. My friend had hers at 18 and its best thing she’s ever done. I’m 21 and having mine in 11 days I would have had mine done earlier than now but I’m glad I waited as I’ve had 2 children and obviously they change even more wen I’ve had kids. But you seem to know what u want and how your gonna do it. So good luck to you :) but is leave the size n profiles and over/under to the surgeon as when I had my consultation He asked me my expectations etc but could only do what was possible so He said 340cc mh profile and unders. I wanted abit bigger and overs but He said I couldnt. So just disscuss what u would like with him etc and they will do there best so far mya has been brilliant and id defo recommend them xx

@beckie90 yea, I think I should leave my expectations behind haha, I just feel like I need to know as much as I can, so if the surgeon suggests something, I can decide whether I’m comfy with it or not cos I’d have background knowledge! Thanks so much. Xx

Has anyone had responsives or soft touch UNDER implants? If so, what are they like? Can you get a good cleavage? Have you got any rippling? I’m told the responsives are the softest so there’s a higher chance of rippling especially with people with less breast tissue.

You seem very sensible about it hun .. It probs is best 2 wait until u kids but I don’t plan on having any for a long time I’m

Only 20 & want my boobs while I’m young I did want my BA when I was 18 but everyone told I’d develop never bloody did :( Defo have a meeting with your PC xx

    Menu

msjennie – I chose soft touch as they are less likely to ripple and as I had overs with not much tissue I was very conscious of rippling. Unfortunately I have been able to feel ripples on the sides of both since day 4 and although you cant see it yet I fear this is a just a matter of time :-( xxxx

    Menu

@leah91 Thank you! I defo will! Lol I don’t think I’m gonna grow that much but I’ll hang on for a year. :) Xx

i thought i was young. Im only 19 and i wanted them for ages. My mum disagrees with me but because she’s had them she couldnt really say no! After speakin to my surgeon i felt better. He said that the next 10 years of your life are the most important and you want to feel your most confident, and he was right. Im only 4 day post op but i feel so much better about myself. I was 5″9 and 34a…had 340 unders and im hoping to be a D cup :) add away n look at my photos xxx

Your stats are so like mine! Thanks and I’ll add you! :) xx

    Hey,

Just thought I’d add a comment, as I’m 19 and had my BA 6 weeks ago. Because I’m young and have tighter skin, I’ve had a few stretch marks appearing in the last couple of weeks. They will fade in time, but they will never fully disappear. Also, my right nipple is fairly numb, but my surgeon says the sensation will come back in the next few months. Apart from these 2 things, I’ve gone from a 34A to a 34C (340cc overs) and I love them, best decision I’ve ever made. I was thinking about waiting, but who knows when I’m going to have kids? could be 15 years.. so why wait? Anyway if you do go through with it, because you’re young use loads of bio oil, weeks leading up to the operation and afterwards to try and prevent stretch marks.

    xx

If you are questioning you are too young you are doubting it, whereas I’m 18 got my op in 2 days and haven’t doubted my age once as this is 100% what I want!xx

    Menu

@sadiexevans thank you! I didn’t think of using bio oil in advance lol. Xx

@amanda <3 I know its what I want, I’m just concerned I might grow a bit or something. I’m just tryna get as much info as possible before I do it. Thanks babe!! Xx

Hey msjennie… I went for a consultation with a PC when i was 18.. Then spoke 2 my family and they all said i should wait a year an see if i grow, my mum developed between 18 & 19.. So thats what i done, an i didnt grow at all.. i’m not nearly 20 (will be 20 when i get them done) an now i havent grown my family are 100% with me.. id advise u to wait a little while an see if u do grow.. but if its not in ur family to have the size ur after then id go for it… I kinda wish i hadnt listend 2 my family last year.. Then i’d have boobs now, but if id of grown between then an now it would have been a complete waste of money..

Its ur body though hun, ur money, an your life..

If its what u want, go for it :) xxx

Hey hun I’m 19 and had my boobs done 9 weeks ago and its the best thing I’ve ever done! As long as you have researched fully and its not a decision u have rushed into then go for it! I’m not planning on having kids till I’m at least 28 so don’t see the point in waiting!

Hey babe, I’m 19 and I’m getting mine done in exactly a week tomorrow! I’m literally so excited, I know what it’s like to be so young and want it so badly.

Perosnally I’m really pleased with MYA so far, it only took about 2 months from my initial consultation to my imminent surgery date to get everything sorted and the service has been great at the Holborn clinic, everyone is really friendly there and I have the best patient co-ordinator; Zoe, she told me everything I needed to know about BA’s and I was so impressed with everything that I paid for my surgery there and then and here I am! As for ‘growing’ I have barely grown since I was 18, and the only reason I didn’t get it done then was because I was doing my a levels and I was way too busy, wish I had though…I say go for it! :) x

if you really want it then do it! im 19 and have also been considering it for years! you only live once :D xx
