I used them and have to say they were excellent! Depending on your credit rating depends on the apr you get. I did an experian check before I applied and have excellent credit rating so got accepted at 6.1% online. They then sent the agreement out, I sent it straight back (didn’t use the £50 courier service. That’s a waste of money) the money was in my account 3 days later. So easy and no hassle whatsoever ever. You don’t even have to send off any bank statements.

So brilliant go for it and hopefully you will have the same luck. Xx

Mines a 7.5k loan (to pay off other things too) and I’ll be paying £147 a month for 5 years at 6.1%

I know apr was higher for loans under 7.5k but can’t remember how much sorry x

Does anyone know with their lending criteria if you have to be a certain age cos im sure I read somewhere you have to be over 23 any girls on here under 23 and managed to get a loan with them? Id really like to use them the apr is quite low… But then… Im looking for a 7:5k loan and only earn just over 1k a month …dont think anyone will touch me with a barge pole!Xx

I think you have to be over 18. I earn less than you as I only work 21 hours a week and I got accepted. Think Tesco are a good one to go for they dont seem as tight as some other lenders – HSBC (my bank) wouldnt even do an application and Sainsburys declined me.

I got an acceptance through Santander also but their APR was higher. xx

    Hey thanks for the replies..

kat1986 do you have a good credit rating? Also what do they want you to send of to them, ie do they want proof of wages, income etc?

I’m not employed as I have a 9 month old baby, my partner works and brings in a good wage but down to him being stupid a few years back his credit is horrendous.!! We can easily afford the repayments but I would have to try and say I was working, depending on what proof they need/checks they do..

They didnt need anything from me, I did it all online. I earn 10k a year so just put that and they never questioned it?? They do ask for your employers details so maybe they contact employers in some instances for verification.

I have a very good credit profile (ive had a lot of credit which Ive been good at paying back)

Maybe you could do a joint application with your partner so they can take his earnings into consideration?

They ask for your 3 year address history, annual income, employers details, any other finance/loans you have and the purpose of the loan – Id say consolidation or home improvements rather than plastic surgery ha ha!! You then get a letter confirming through post with all APR and repayment details on which you have the sign and send back.

    Hope this helps xx

hey girls ive worked out i got two credit cards one with tesco and another with halifax so then i have 0% balance transfers and 0% purchases and ill just keep switching over when the 0 % runs out!think that was the best option for me as i dont want to be paying it back for 4- 5 years, has anyone else does this at all? or would people say a loan is better? with tesco? xx

I personally prefer a loan as you have an end date. I am getting a larger loan to pay off my credit card which I got 5 years ago to pay for a £900 holiday on interest free . It didnt work out as planned so I kept doing balance transfers every 18 months and incurring fees – the balance is more now than it was 5 years ago oops :(

Everyone is different but I will never get another credit card as long as I live lol. If you make sure you pay more than the minimum payment each month im sure you will be fine with a card. I think they are easier to get than a loan also x
