hi
just wondering if anyone has had them done abroad? and where?
thanks
Hi hun,
Are you on the Sofeminine forum? There are a few girls on there who went abroad so worth an ask there. One who has had nothing but trouble in Poland tho. there’s something on GMTV tomorrow morning about 8am and this girl on the Sofem forum is on the show talking about her bad experience which is still ongoing. Poor thing
I would STRONGLY recommend you pay the extra to have them done in this country somewhere near where you live, where you know you can go to 24 hours after you make a phone call if you need to. If you have pain/discomfort/problems after the op and you’ve had them done abroad then you have to make arrangements with the foreign hospital to go back, and going back there involves booking and paying for flights, paying for hotels, travelling to the airport, sitting in the airport, flying, travelling from the airport to the hotel, from the hotel to the hospital… imagine it, and all in pain…!!
Please consider VERY carefully about going abroad. I thought about it myself but I think its much more sensible to go ‘local’ for major surgery.
Whatever you do tho I hope it goes well xxx
I agree, think about going abroad very seriously! Go for a consoltation with MYA you maybe surprised with how little it costs ie day case and or late space offer. I couldnt imagine flying back home after my BA.
mmmm ok thanks both….
its what i expected to hear to be honest….it was just yet another thought thats popped into my head.
harley medical centre i have seen so far and they seem as amazing as i thought….but you pay more i guess
i have a consult with mya in a week too, so i shall see
thanks again!

yes i think that people that have been to MYA would say the same thibng. I went to another company before choosing MYA. Everyone is soooo supportive and very helpful!
Make sure you tell your pc your thoughts when you go.
Hope everything goes well, enjoy and good luck with your boobie journey!
You stick to the UK love! And don’t forget – your aftercare package is with your surgery. Any issues or worries you have you can call a nurse you can communicate easily with (English speaking for def) and if necessary pop to see at a day’s notice.
Every time I go to the MYA office I have a good laugh with the staff, they’re so lovely. I enjoy the feeling that it’s fun as well as serious. Good luck and let us know how you get on
xx
Hey girls, I went for a consultation in June 2009 to go to India (Mumbai) to have breast enlargement through Euro Medical tours. I really thought this was an amazing idea as i was getting a weeks holiday too and thought i would be saving thousands! This really isnt the case though, i was quoted 1800 for the surgery alone, on top of that was return flight @ 500 and hospital/hotel accomadation @ 400, visa 50 quid oh and daft extras like transport to and from airport etc which was about 100 quid you would have to get insurance too aswel as spending money etc! This all may still sound cheap (2800) But many girls on here have had them done at MYA for 3100 knowing they are completely safe hands and in the uk if anything goes wrong! My mind was really made up about going to india and couldnt wait but i decided to book a consultation with MYA which i went to on the 22nd Jan just to compare, and just like these girls i was made to feel SOOOOOO comfortable, i was measured properly, got to feel different implants and really discussed the whole procedure thoroughly with the surgeon who made me aware of any risks etc. All the staff were amazing and im not looking back im now so glad because the worst thing about going abroad is after having surgery you shouldnt go on holiday or fly at all for 6 weeks after any op and this is beacause the risk of DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is very high and this is very dangerous(especially if you take the pill)! I did not no this before going to mya consultation, i did tell them my thoughts on going to india and now glad i did. It is also in mya paperwork pack you get when you go for your consultation about the risks of flying and its all over the internet! The funny thing is the consultation i went to for India FAILED to mention anything about this lol and i never even got to see an implant (how strange). I now no i have been to a very good consultation with MYA and looking to book before this month ends and hoping to get mine done in April/May so im ready for the summer. Im having 380 or 410 high profile unders! Please look into the going abroad thing and find out every possible fact and remember that surgeons in different countries dont have to have special qualifications as in the uk and can also use certain implants such as saline or PIP etc which are banned or not used here in the uk due to problems such as prone to rupture etc. These are only a few reasons why not to go abroad!! please do research girls! afterall its your body and you only have the one! Pay the extra 300-1000 to stay in the uk and heal properly knowing you have the professional security around you and Then go abroad for a week and enjoy it and be able to swim, sunbathe and wear a bikini and look HOT lol. Sorry to go on and theres so much more i can say on this but hopefully this will help many people on there decision too. xxxxxxx
