anyone a carer had a ba and how long did you take off work

Im currently working as a carer and im having my ba on 22nd july and im not sure how long i will need off and my job is v physical using hoists etc i havent informed my employer that im having it done so maybe i should tell them xx

I work in care, I’m pre op but I’ve booked two weeks off as holiday I’m hoping that will be long enough. If I need longer I have to get a sick note from the doctor. I would tell your manager so they know the full picture xx

i was going to book it off as a holiday but ive used all mine up so not sure what to do i could take it as unpaid but didnt want to take that option i dont know if they would give me a sick note for 2 weeks, did you tell your employer what your having done then? x

Yeah but only my manager not the rest of the staff! Their all gossips so il deal with it when I go back!! I’m not sure bout the sick note, you could ask the surgeon bout that but I’m sure it’s got to come from your gp xx

Im a carer and have been told i will probably need 2 weeks off, unfortunatly i only have 1 and dnt have any holiday days left so am gunna take a week on sick x

I’m having 2 weeks off unpaid doh…. But my doc said if I need anymore time he will issue a sick note xx hope this helps xx

i work in the NHS and have booked nearly 4 weeks off annual leave..The NHS dont like you taking sickness leave for cosmetic reasons… Hence i have had to use quite a few holidays..
