Anyone been told post op no bra for 4 weeks+ ?

Quite a few members have posted that they were to go braless on the surgeons instructions honey,are you wearing a breast band.xxxx

Yeah wearing one for 2 weeks which is up tomorrow thank goodness! I’m sure surgeon said band 2 weeks, no bra for 4 weeks but then I don’t see him until 6 weeks. Asked pc she said wear a bra but not sure whether to follow this or not though work I’d going to be tricky with nothing and I don’t feel supported at all. Without band and bra they can feel heavy and awkward! :S X

The PCs do work closely with the surgeons honey,I was told this on first contact when I booked my appointment,if she said wear the bra after 4 weeks she will know what she is talking about,can you not get one of those soft support vests.I have seen other members post that they wore them when they could not wear a bra,it would hide your protruding bits,lol, and make you feel secure at the same time,without restricting you.xxx

Haha i certainly do have protruding bits!! Lol

Pc said wear a bra from now if I want (13 days post op) but that’s not what surgeon said. She said most surgeons say wear sports bra day and night for 2 weeks then just in the day for 4 weeks. She said there’s no right or wrong and do what’s comfortable for me.

This is why I wondered if anyone else had gone so long without a bra x

I would follow your surgeons instructions honey,but that’s just my opinion,your instructions are tailored to you as an individual,I really don’t think he would give you instructions if they were not needed,the surgeon is the expert honey.I have read that others have gone without a bra,ill pm you.xxx
