Anyone had a day case for BA?

Hi gals,

I’m having my 2nd BA in oct and having the day case this time, (had the overnight stay the 1st time)

Has anyone else had a day case? And what time us the op roughly? and what time did u get discharged from the hospital? In the afternoon?

My PC said I wouldnt find out the times etc untill nearer the time but was just wandering what others had roughly with the day case?

Also they still do provide food in the day dont they?!!

Im considering a D/C for my 2nd BA! Although being looked after all night is good lol. its just so much cheaper. x

I had a daycase at the manchester lifestyle hospital 3 weeks ago and I would def recommend it. I had to be there for 7.30am and I was discharged at 6pm. I stayed in a hotel nearby as I traveled from Newcastle. You’ll find out your times 3 days before although daycases are usually booked in for the morning. I got fed at around 2pm and the food was lurvly..starter, main and dessert!!!

When i had my 1st one with the day case they just kept waking me up through the bight-i just wanted to sleep lol

Think day case would be much better and my partner will look after me so wont have random nurses walking in through the night!If something major did go wrong the hotel we are staying in is only a 5 min drive x

*that was meant to say “waking me up through the night!” ha!

yeah, you’re right, they keep coming in every half an hour during the to check your blood pressure etc so night time would be a pain when all you want to do is sleeeeep! Good luck! xx

at the mo i have 340cc overs so am now a 32d/30dd (was 32b before) but going for the biggest they can fit in which is 700cc so dont have a clue what size ill end up lol!!

How are u healing 3 weeks on? what size did u have?

I had my ba done as Day case 2 months ago. Admission time was 7.30, went down for op at 10.30, was back on the ward at 11.45 and was allowed to go home at 4pm And yes they still give u food lol u have to eat before they’ll let u go

Aah thanks so much! To be honest that sounds loads better then when I had the night case last time as I got there but was hanging round and didn’t have the op till lunch time but missed lunch so they just gave ne a snack instead and had dinner.

I can’t wait!

missprinces-I had a day case on the 11 Aug, admission time was 9:30, once I was taken to my room, a nurse come to do my medical history check, then the anesthesiologist come in my room to discuss the procedure of putting me to sleep after which my surgeon came in to remind me of the size I am having and started drawing on me. I was taken to the operating theatre around 11:45 then back to my room around 14;00. I was discharged around 19:00.

miss princess- my surgery was at Highgate which is just about 30 minutes away from where we leave, so we went home. When r u having it done?

I was supposed to be ther for 7.30am but got there at 8am due to traffic but it was fine. I went down at 10.10am and those 2 hours flew over xx
