anyone had overnight in park hill and what time was ur op??

would like to hear from anyone about park hill staying over night ive just had my day case changed to night stay and am gutted as wanted to stay at hotel with my partner and hate hospitals xx

Hey hun, I wouldnt worry too much as it is a nice hospital. Clean, decent sized rooms and the staff were really helpful so you will be fine.

I was admitted at 1pm, but didnt go down for my op until almost 5pm so I did have more of a wait than I expected.

The other girls who had surgery the same day as me were discharge around 10 the next morning. I was there until 3pm though cos I took a bad reation to the GA x

heya, i was there last friday, really nothing to worry about its nothing like an nhs hospital, reminded me more of just a basic hotel room really, nice big tv on the wall infront of you and ensuite bathroom. i was admitted at 4pm and had my surgery around 6, by the time the anaesthetic had worn off i dropped straight off to sleep! lovely place and nurses were very friendly, theres really nothing to worry about xxx

so if im a night case will i not have my op in the morning dont want to be waiting in a hospital room all day xx

i dont know for certain but its unlikely, they usually give the day cases early admission times and do them in the morning then the night cases a late admission and do them around 5 or 6 o clock so you dont have to spend the whole day in the hospital. i turned up at 4 and went for surgery around half 5, that hour an a half flies by as you’ve things to do like get change, see your surgeon, see the anaethetist so theres very little sitting and twiddling your thumbs! xx

well if thats the case it seems silly to stay in hotel night b4 and sit around all day i mite phone the hospital myself as the pc dont seem to know and they have messed me about as ive already booked 2 night stay at a hotel x
