Anyone had panic attack at hospital?

Nerves kicking in but wondered if anyone had a panic attack at the hospital?

I think because it’s an elective operation and my choice to have it for vanity effectively I feel like something might go wrong and worrying about the kids ( even though I’ve had two ops and two general anesthetics since having them for other stuff not elective)

I’ve had one or two panic attacks in my life not really an issue but no worrying myself silly

But desperately want it and excited too?

I have anxiety but was fine, obviously I was nervous though. Just make sure you ask the staff lots of questions to but your mind at rest xx

Keep breathing heavy thinking something will go wrong in the theatre! But I also can’t wait!

Can or will they give u something to calm down?

I don’t know, but just talk to them about it and they’ll ease your nerves xx

I had a panic attack when i had my last child (had a Caesarean). I can just remember my heart beating so fast i could hardly breathe! They had to calm me down, they were really good. Worried that will happen again in theatre and feeling really silly as like you say it is elective and its meant to be an exciting time! Sometimes i feel really vain x

Think its just my nerves and need to have a lil word with myself!! Ha ha x

Ask you PC if you can have a sedation beforehand, it’s amazing stuff and calms you down completely! I had to have some wisdom teeth out and i suffer from anxiety so they gave me sedation and i was so calm and i don’t even remember them doing it. Might help if you have to wait a while on the day! OR try rescue remedy you can buy it from health food stores like holland and barrat i used this when i took my driving test to calm me down and it really works!! Good luck hun you will be fine, just think – thousands of girls have it done every week/day you will be okay! 🙂 xxx

Thanks..I know.. I think it’s because I’m choosing to put my self under and paying thousands for someone to butcher me effectively!, lol
All in the name of vanity….
But panic attacks are real and come out of nowhere sometimes so just wanted to preempt one!
And breathe …….

I suffer with extreme anxiety and I was given diazepam to calm me down just before I went to sleep! As I had tremors and the aeanathisist couldn’t get the needle in! Worked a treat! & I was fine after just extremley sleepy and docile xxx

Mmm might need some of that!
