Anyone had problems with the MYA aftercare?

I’ve read a few posts on here where people have been unhappy with the aftercare with MYA. My friend at work told me today she had BA overs with MYA 4 yrs ago and got capsular contractor (not sure if that’s how you spell – the scaring around the implant) and she said MYA just didn’t wanmt to know, she also said they told her to drive 4 hrs up to manchester to see a surgeon as hers had gone to germany. There the surgeon refused to re-op and told her just to squeeze and put pressure on the breast which she feels hasn’t done very much and may have slightly damaged her implant. All this has freaked me out as I don’t want to pay 4000 quid to not be looked after post-surgery

just be very careful which clinic and surgeon you choose read all the recent posts on post op girls and get advise honestly the more research you do the better, my experience was a bad one with MYA and im hoping they will sort it, if not i will take it further i will not give up, ive been fobbed off for 18 months now and it will notcarry on. Dont let it put you off as not everyone has bad experiences just be careful and good luck xx

I didn’t have any problems. I bottomed out on one side and I was fixed up within days xx

Mr Chantarasak…but it was MYA’s decision to give me the corrective surgery x

I think MYA has shaped up in the past year or so as I heave heard some nasty stories but most recently have been good. So far I know a few people who have gone through mya in the past 12 months and haven’t got anything bad too say. I for one haven’t and i think it really does depend on what clinic and surgeon you are having. I don’t think now they can afford to fob people off, so keep fighting gtikay07, you deserve to have it sorted out xxx

I really hope not because I have my heart set on MYA for my surgery and after hearing this today it made me sad . How much did people pay for their surgeries? Xx

Most people go through surgery without any problems, try not to be put off too much. My surgery cost £4258 x
