I really want mine done and my local tanning salon has an offer for laser teeth whitening for £99. Anyone ever had the laser whitening? Were you satisfied?

I used to be a dental nurse and the laser whitening is more for instand results. You’ll eventually have to top it up so you’d be best off getting the home bleaching kit from your dentist. It will cost more initially because you will have trays made to fit your mouth, bleach will be included and will last a long time, depending on how often you use it, but after it runs out you can just buy more bleach for about £15.x

    ooo I wanted home bleaching!

how much does it cost at the dentist? [on average?] I have heard you can get online ones where you make a mold of your teeth send it back and within a few weeks get the kit?

It costs between £250 and £300, that includes the trays and a set of about 3 or 4 tubes of bleach.

I haven’t heard of the ones where you make a mould of your teeth yourself. It’s worth a try I guess but can be hard to get the mould right. I might try it myself lol where do you get it?

I have the home bleaching kits, it cost me £300 for the trays and the nitewhite 10% solution is about £20 a tube, it is worth it xx

im waiting to get my mould done at the dentist for my home bleaching kit, my dentist told me that the home kits they supply are better than the laser, apparently with the laser they also advise the home kit on top so you’re better off getting it in the first place i think xx

is there not an issue with taking too much enamel off with the bleaching ? is the laser better for your teeth?

I’ve had mine done @ my dads tanning salon, I’m having them done again next week :D

I have a maintenance pen too which contains the gel that’s put on my teeth with the UV light to top it up and keep them looking white. Deff recommend it :)

I haven’t had it done yet but really want to, been thinking about it for years. I used to smoke and my teeth are yellow and never really regained the whiteness of before :-(

Ask your dentist if he can get whitewash strips for you instead. Theyre only available on prescription through dentists. I’ve used them, they’re fab. They’re strips of bleach and dentists recommend them because you only use the amount of bleach you need rather than the wasteful amount you put in the teeth moulds. So it works the same but you don’t have to pay for the mould to be made. I paid £30 for a pack which contains 14 sets of strips which you use for a week, twice a day. You can then get another pack if you like and use one set of strips every month to maintain the whiteness. So the second pack lasts 2 years.

, if you get what I mean. X

I had it done, hurts like a bitch if you have sensitive teeth, and for a couple of days later it’s intense, like biting into an icecream!! Felt like knocking them out at one point, but I do have sensitive teeth. (toes are curling thinking about it).

Mine was the 1 hour jobs at the dentist, rather than do it at home kits.

They’re whiter, but not like the hollywood girls and boys, I think they have veneers! xx

I’ve just had cosmetic dentistry work done. I had my braces in for a year, had it taken off last week. so I wanted my teeth whitening too, did it Thursday 9th. I did it through the same dentist company, and it took about an hour. Found the procedure uncomfortable, because they hold Yr gums back and then my head was tilted back, and I was like gagging (not literally)on my saliva. Straight after whitening, my teeth were killing, really bad! they were sensitive for 24 hours. The results were great. They came out White, mine were on yellow side previously so big difference. The next day my teeth were fine.

Tracyface u’re right, even just thinking about the pain makes u shudder.

Don’t know how the home kits are, but would like to try, as I’ve got retainers now for rest of my life, night time only after 1st week, I can use them as whitening trays.

the home kit made by the dentist is great, it does make your teeth a bit sensitive to cold wind etc but i use sensodyne to prevent that. xx :D

Yeah don’t get confused with the home kits in the supermarket, they’re not all that. Vitint are the best if you want a real cheap job for £30 but the home kit from the dentist is the best, and best value for money too. x
