anyone removed their bandages before they are due to be removed by the nurse?

I’m off out to the theatre the night before my tape is due to be removed, will i be ok to remove the tape myself so I can have a good wash before I go out, just that I don’t want to be going out smelling and feeling uncomfortable with the tape around I want to be able to be comfortable, or should I let the nurse just remove the tape?

hi jayne i removed my tape myself b4 seeing my nurse. I took them off 5days post op! they were stinking! I was on the phone to the surgeon as i done it though lol xx

were they ok with you removing them?

i was absolutly fine, it didnt hurt atall! honestly my suregeon told me i only really needed them for suport after the op until i got my sports bra on! wish he had told me tht b4 i left hospital lol xx

Hush, I took mine off yesterday, I was told to take it off 4 days post op. Just be gentle and u be fine. Just make sure u have bra ready to wear… Xx

I had dr Singh. Instructions to take bandage off 4 day post op. And then take tape off at 10 days post op. Xx

I took mine off after 4 days as they couldnt make my po appointment…used a hairdryer and husband lol……felt great!!! Hush you should be able to tanke yours off by now huni???xxx

hey hush i want mine off aswell.i just really want to have a proper shower.i’ve been having baths but its so hard not to get my boobs wet.xx

I did it hun and i had a shower Naughty i know but i dryed myself fast with a hairdryer and got my nan to apply dry Plasters i thought u dirt and filth cant of been doin me any good i hope i havent damaged myself xx
