Anyone unhappy with there scarring? Can anything be done about it??

Im 31/2 months PO now from my BA and nipple lift and my scars underneath in particular are really red and they don’t look crisp and clean incisions like most other girls on here. I’ve been looking after them lots since my 6 week. Been using bio oil and Dermatrix scar sheets but they just don’t seem to be looking any better or made any improvement at all. It’s so embarrassing coz some bikinis I’ve loved and tried on, I can’t wear coz I can see my horrid red lines where the scars are

Also for girls with unders…..do they ever soften up as much as overs? I just want to wear a string bikini but can’t coz my boobs look like they are stuck on the outside of my chest virtually!! I have to buy wired bikinis xx

not much help but im over 6 monthes post op n my incisions look so bad lumpy, dark red, thick, they arent very long & when i first had them done they looked great so its not the surgeons fault its just how im healing ive also been usin bio oil and dermatix scar sheets! v annoying x

it’s so upsetting. I was on holiday last week and was paranoid about my scars showing. I don’t no what else to do to them. They are different shape/size incisions too, one is a shorter cut but it’s sat on my rib almost, not in the crease. And the other is sat in my crease but it’s quite a bit longer than the other How can they be so different. It’s not that hard to cut roughly the same length incision I don’t think Oh well, guess time will tell if they start looking any better. But like you, mine looked pretty good after the op, as times ticked by, they’ve got worse xx

me too my bikini had ridden up n i didnt realise until i felt to pull it back into place n felt my scar had been totally on show, cringe!! also doesnt help coz that boob hasnt dropped so the scar isnt in the crease atall, so it aint hidden goin 2 see my singh about it on 27th. i know, how hard can it be! especially how many times they must of done it! same i cant believe how much worse mine look now! they looked better at like 3wks than now! x+

Hi All, I have very bad scarring, it’s called Keloid. I’ve had mine removed and re stitched, however it’s our own bodies ‘fault’ the way it heals. My tummy scar n belly button are horrendous but still happy with the results xx

Awww, sorry to hear that Melissa, I can imagine its not nice for you, mine isn’t keloid though, it’s not raised at all, just horrible and red and messy looking Guess you have to try to see past it and focus on the improvements from the op xx

You had your implants removed?

Mine is red and lumpy too, not a nice little thin line I was promised and what mario was known for, it’s on my list of things to see a surgeon about, I’m 5.5 months post op, so I’ll let you know what is said when I finally get an appointment. I’m more annoyed about it, as every scar I have was a thin line and slivery/white in a matter of weeks, so I know I heal great usually xx

Hiya, I have quite bad scarring from my ba and uplift 9 years ago, some of my scarring is an inch thick in places with stitch marks either side, I’m due to have my pips replaced at the beginning of July and the surgeon is going to do scar revision he said he could make a 70% improvement in them to remove the old scars completely I would have to have the implants removed completely which I don’t want to do, it is something that has bugged me for the last 9 years so any improvement is a bonus x

Yeah, I’m the same as you Joanna, I don’t normally have any issues with healing, and one of the main reasons I chose Mario was coz of his neat incisions, but I feel like he didn’t take as much care when cutting mine coz they are so different from each other What surgeon will you be seeing? I’ve not even seen a surgeon since my op 3 1/2 months ago, I was meant to be seeing

Mario next week for my final check up but obviously not anymore. My pc said I’ll probably see Mr Kazazzi as he does late night’s.

Jenkins, what is scar revision and what does it involve? I always thought that once the cut was made, the scar was permanent??? x

Hiya gina, it is basically cutting either side of the scar (cutting the old scar out) and re-stitching it to leave a neater scar, so you will still have one but should hopefully heal better, I didn’t get told about scar creams etc the first time round so this time I’m more prepared and going to start using it as soon as I can. I too usually don’t have problems healing, I have a scar on my forehead which is a thin line that you can only really see if I have a suntan x

I am also the same when it comes to bikinis I can only wear the bandeau style tops as my scars show, especially the ones that go round the nipple sometime you can even see them over the top of a normal bra depending on the style of it. X

Chloe, they aren’t to bad, I’d of preferred them to of been made a bit smaller as I had quite big areolas. I thought he would of trimmed them down a bit but he didn’t I’m a little disappointed. My scars are still a red colour and I have some tiny red thread veins too which have appeared around my nipple since the op, these don’t help as they make the area look redder than it probably is. Overall, I no I definitely needed the nipple lift as without it they would of sat too low and looked saggy. The overall result is still an improvement, I just wish my incisions were neater xx

Ohh ..

Im having a nip lift but with implants put through nipple. So i will only have scars around both nipples! The scarring is scaring the Sh** outta me!!

And they can reduce the size of areolas aswell but ya have to ask for that and its extra money,dunno why its extra money as they already cutting it off anyways, wouldnt take any extra effort to trim them! lol hmm xx

The annoying thing is my surgeon now said there’s no way my scars should look this bad and it was basically bad workmanship in the first place

If I had the guts to I would put pictures up for you to see but I don’t want to put anyone off, the amount of pictures I’ve seen and the scars are so neat it unbelievable you cant even see the scars around the nipple I just can’t understand what went wrong for me.

I will take before and after pictures so if they do improve with the scar revision I’ll show you x

ginag84 i havent a clue who will be taking my concerns on as yet, im waiting for a phone call on Thursday, and as its now Saturday, i think i may be waiting a while xx
