Are MYA surgeons members of BAAPS?

Are any of the MYA surgeons part of BAAPS (The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons)? I was surprised not to find Dr Gonschoirs name when I did a search as I am considering him for my nose surgery. Thanks!

I think you have to be british or have your qualification done in Britain for that …I think?

I’ve had consultations at transform and mya and transform gave me a sheet detailing the surgeon’s qualifications and number of operations he’s performed etc but mya didn’t give me anything like that. So I sent mya mod a message to find out more info about their surgeons and she arranged for someone to give me call….I missed the call though as I was at work lol! But hopefully I’ll get to speak to someone next week as when I called back this week she was with a patient so not available x

Hi ladies

Just to clarify, that all of MYA’s surgeons are registered with the GMC (General Medical Council) which governs all medical professionals in the UK as well as having the FRCS (fellowship of the royal college of surgeons) qualification or the equivalent from their home country.

BAAPS is not a qualification or a requirement for a practicing cosmetic surgeon. It is purely a membership.

In relation to Mr Gonschior sofia97, he is a maxilio-facial surgeon with a wealth of experience. His full qualifications can be found on his CV which your patient coordinator will be able to provide you with.
