are you allowed anyone with you at the hospital??x

I’m having my ba at highgate and just wondered if someone can wait with you while you have the op or if you have to be dropped off and picked up? And if so do they have to wait in reception area or can they wait in your room?

I came with my hubby, he was allowed in my room all day with me, even when I was in theatre, he waited in my room. I came back at 7:30pm to my room and the nurses let him stay till gone 11pm and made him some tea and toast too xx

Oo cool hope they let my bf stay too then! What hospital were you at? I’m a day case so hoping he can just stay until I’m allowed home!

I was a daycase too but they were so late calling me down to theatre(5pm) that I had to stay overnight coz it was late when I got back to my bed. Yes they will let him stay around no probs hun I was at Preston first trust and they were all lovely there xx

gina, what is the preston hospital like as i am presuming that is where i will be having my op. I dont have a date yet however, but its closer to home

Aw that’s what worries me my admission time is 1 o clock so hoping it won’t run late and I have to stay overnight!xx
