Ha, I keep forgetting and reaching for things all the time! Even as far up as the shower head down! Now that is quite high as I’m 5’1″ lol. I do regret it afterwards though as my right incision and boob kills me x

I’m trying not to even when I physically can because even if it doesn’t hurt it could be pulling things inside that are still healing. That said, at 3 weeks it still pulls if I overstretch so I can’t actually do it yet anyway!!

i hadnt thought of that princess, but have no pain, so dunno, x

Yeah I was bit worried about doing it when the insides are still healing, luckily the pain reminds me when I overstretch at the mo!

Yeah, I never really thought of that either Princess76. My partner is always telling me to stop but I can’ help it and just say, well it’s fine, it doesn’t hurt as much anymore

Yeah my mum was watching my every move, but she’s a nurse an kept saying that when you have no pain that’s when you can do the most damage because you don’t have a cut off mechanism!

I put mine in the air roughly 5 hours after surgery .. Climbed a chair and slammed the window shut I was about to freeze to death after having hot and cold booby sweats haha and I could not wait any longer for a nurse.

I’m back to normal 2 weeks PO today and nurse says scars are fab!

All I can say is do what your body tells you.

All I’m doing is basically not wearing a proper bra – I’m dying to!

Was back at work after 1 week felt like I could have gone back day 4 but driving was not very comfortable.

Now I’m literally back to normal except having sensitive bullet nipples and boob ache in the morning haha xxx

I think as long as your elbows dont go higher than your shoulders before 6 weeks you should be fine…I was dying to have a good old stretch for ages though lol

After at the most 1 week I could put tops on over my head. I am nearly 4 weeks PO and am fully stretching… it’s bliss! Maybe I shouldn’t be… but it doesn’t hurt! I agree… your body tells you what you can and can’t do! Just go with that and how you feel! x

I keep waking up with my arms over my head – not good! I def feel it when I stretch too far tho, have a feeling in my armpits like bruising andd down the side of my ribs, as if I’ve overdone it at the gym, so that’s still stopping me from doing too much. Loops, I have finally been able to get t-shirts on, just slip your arms in first by putting them out in front of you and then bend your elbows and you should be able to pop it over your head without lifting your arms up, just remember to take it off the same way!

I have a loose necked jumper on today, 1 day PO! Same as Princess76 says in terms of putting it on… Just reached up to close the car boot, maybe not a good idea… But barely any pain!! My sides feel bruised/tender, and chest tight, but no pain just relaxing… Amazing!! Dr Adamo ROCKS!

I know the feeling. I didnt try it for ages until my mum helped me in a tshirt and I realised that as long as it wasn’t too tight I could prob get in it myself, getting out is a bit harder but not impossible. Opens up all your options again, after 3 wks it feels like I’ve found a whole new Wardrobe! I got so sick of shirts!
