Hi girls, just wondering how long it took you all before you started wearing clothes that go over your head?

I’m 9 days post op tomorrow and can lift my arms up fine but worried I could be damaging my scars without realising?

Any info would be much appreciated, dying to wear normal tops and wash my hair myself! Xx

I started wearing them after my 2 week check with nurse, and found it easier to sit down whilst putting them on,that way,if you put your arms through first and you lean forward with your head, you dont actually stretch your arms to put the top on.Its the same with washing your hair,if you sit down in the bath, bring your knees up to your chin, lean forward, wash you hair, and use the shower head to rinse you don’t seem to stretch as much, your elbows seem to stay close to your knee’s,if you lean forward your incisions will not get wet,as the water run down the front of your legs. hope this helps.xxx

The same when drying your hair, sit on the floor, bring your knees up,lean forward, put the mirror at an angle so you can see what you are doing, and you should be able to dry your hair without stretching.xxx
