hi to everyone, im trying to arrange and have spoken to mya about getting a leaflet to explain how our body changes from having a implant put it. as we all know all our bodys react or goes through differnet stages, but sum of us have experienced the same like popping or farting lol in our boobs, lol. or dropping or tingying feeling. pain. nipple changes. just be gd to get everyone attention and feedback on things uve all gone through nd lets get a leaflet sorted.. coz we all think to our selves is this normal or is it sumthing to worry bout. but this forum is a gd coz we get to spk to each other and compare. but we in ourselves done know whats going on inside or how thngs will change. yes we get the warning leaflet saying to keep a eye on sharp constant pain, bleeding hight temp unwell in general. but we also need sumthign to show us in black and white changes our new boobs can expereince.. i think this will be a gd thing to get done for people in the furture that have boobs done know sumthign they can expereince.. im hoping alot of u girls will agree and reply. thank u for taking the time to read this.

Well if u could just put sum thing u girls were worried about and describe experience that’s made u worry. Anything at all. Mya will be chuffed to see the more girls the more this could happen cum on girl. I know it’s too late for us to have a leaflet but it isn’t to late for girls that will be having there op in the near future thanks to everyone that’s applied. I’ve only decided to do this coz I’ve had sum strange experience and if it wasn’t for this forum I think I would have been ringing nurses or 24 hour contact nearly everyday lol. So cum on girls let’s get the ball rolling. I’ve spoken to sumone from Mya so let’s achieve this.

DD what a nice thing to do and suggest.

Personally I’ve found this forum a god send. Im 5 days to go and I feel I know the most I can. (Thanks again everyone)

    So my suggestions are….

Muscle spasms, numbness in nipples/breast, very sensitive nipples/breast, popping/farting (there must be a better term) boobs,

Average time scales – how long it takes someone to recover from the G.A,twinging easing, when you can lift your hands up, driving, back to work, jogging, gym etc etc. Just a general average 4-6 weeks or something like that. If it wasn’t for the forum I wouldn’t know it took approx 6 weeks to drop/soften and a further 3-6months to fully settle.

A block of percentages of risks. E.g capsulation – highlight the percentage per year that this happens to. Soften the worry for girls who’ve heard it can happen.

Describe the differences from CUI to natrelle to tear drop, to CC, overs, unders. General everyday terms we use, new people don’t understand.

    Thats my blabber over

    xx

    Well said clare. Thanku

    No probs!

Also – itchy boobs (just read on another post), it’s very common and completely normal

An advice note on the leaflet that you should moisturise well in advance and afterwards avoiding incisions. Oh and drink plenty water lol. I’m like the water queen, always goin on about it.

    I’ll shut up now :P

Im only 8 days post op. My boobs are fab and no pain but I’ve had other health issues from having op, so I will write what’s gone on with me recovering from surgery and my boobs I think mine have started to soft and drop a wee bit but i feel like a relief of my chest like no one sitting on chest anymore. Maybe that implant settling in to it’s new home. Lol

Hey ddgirl! Awesome idea! I know uve had a rough time and a bit more info would be sooo helpful! I think there is good guidance pre op, but post op more info is definitely needed, eg how soon afterwards u can drink alcohol, take certain meds like aspirin, diet pills etc. Also what light excersise u can do afterwards such as walking, which I have found has really benefited my recovery. How long u have to sleep upright for and why. What to use for swelling and emphasis on the fact that ur boobs can heal at different times. Xxx

All i wanted to know, was how long b4 i could play netball. But my surgeon told me at my 5/6 week check. Other than that, i found all the info out on here before hand and after, plus theirs so many website you can just serch for problems. But its a good idea, Probably best if they give the leaflet to you at your pre-op. I just think i have been very lucky, no painkillers, and healed by 5 weeks wearing underwired bras. xx

    Menu

Genuine questions from a pre-op girl – Should you stock up on medication, painkillers, ibuprofen?

Or should I rely on the hospital to give me some – I’ve heard they charge!

They give u antibiotics and painkiller to take home. But I would stock up on painkiller incase u need more. I didn’t use all mine I wasn’t in much pain with boobs.

I feel the same as the other girls and haven’t experienced anything different than some of the girls has already said.

I feel a bit of a dick ringing up my nurse to ask questions so I tend to come on here and research the forum as much as poss to see if things are normal hence why I havent made one call to them.

Leaflet or info on here would be great :-) xxx
