I have written to mya and complained I had same experience but
Had an infection in my right breast at week two my after care was disgusting basically it was
Barely existing it heeled after a further 2 weeks and having to have my breast drained
Twice, I was upset with the after care as it felt like no one was interested
Or cared about what I was experiencing after all they’d had their money and I’d had my op it really
Seemed like they couldn’t care less. 4 days before my infection and befor my breast started leaking fluid, I’d actually been and seen my nurse and mentioned my right side was painful and swollen, she said it was because I was right handed and shrugged it f not even checking my breast over, if she had maybe they would have picked up on my infection and I wouldn’t have had the awful panic and frightening experience at home that i experienced when i discovered a leaking boob and a hole under my breast, They messed me around with appointments when I had my infection, anyways it eventually heeled by 4 weeks .
At my follow up check up at 3 months my surgeonn confirmed my suspicions That one breast was noticeably bigger then the other my surgeon confirmed that the breast that had the infection has held onto the Implant and as a result of the infection I’ve been left with the right breast smaller then the left, My surgeon mentioned I may need corrective surgery for this and that he wants to see Me in January to determine if that’s the case, until i go back in January I’ve been told to do massages on the smaller breast 60 times a day which i do as instructed even tho it hurts me!
My pc hasn’t contacted me since I contacted her at 4 weeks post op which was beg of august, when i rung to inform her
I wasn’t happy an wanted to complain, since then she hasn’t been in touch or wanting to help me, so I contacted myas quality care
commissioner myself in September and since then she’s contacted me a few times saying thes an ongoing investigation into my
complaint. In the mean time I am making arrangements to meet a surgeon from another company to see what they think, and I am seeking legal advice about my dreadful experience. I’m Know dreading January coming around because If I do need corrective surgery I am going to have to go through the experience with mya all over again, I’m not sure if I could face putting myself through the whole experience again, hope ur infection clears up and you heel quickly, If u would like the email address of the person whose in-charge of complaints so you can complain directly to her pm and I’ll send u it xx
