BA 6th August

Is anyone at Parkhill on the 6th August? I am seeing Mr Kazzazi for an over night stay. Anybody to keep me company on the same date!

Hi, I’m at Parkhill on the 6th as a day case. He said I’d be there all day so keep you company for a while. What are you having?

I’m having 340 unders. Absolutely dreading it!! What are you going for? I keep switching between panicking they’re going to be too big, and worrying they will be too small!

lol, I’m sure it’ll be fine. I’m having 525 overs or partials (haven’t decided yet!) Been told that i’ll end up about 36 D/DD. I’m staying in a hotel up the road and will be arriving on the Thursday night ready for my early start the next day, soooo excited!

Hey perfectpru, can you believe only 5 DAYS to go! It’s going so fast we’ll be in that hospital before you know it. How you feeling? x

I’m starting to panic now! When do you think we will get our admission time? Are you nervous, or am I just a baby?!! It’s all I can think about!

Friday cannot roll round quick enough! I thought they said would call us week before to give times, but I haven’t heard anything either. If they haven’t rung me by tomorrow will probably ring them. I like to know where I’m at, lol! I’m not nervous, but then I’ve had a few operations before so I’m sure this will be fine. Well fingers crossed eh?!

dvadeb, my admission time is not until 1.00!! Let me know what time yours is – I imagine it will be a lot earlier with you being a day case. I’m going to have ages to panic! X

perfectpru, ughh I haven’t had my time yet! I rang them earlier and they said mine was the only one that had not been released, typical! Mr K said I’d be the 1st one down so am expecting to be about 7.30, which is good because I’ll be able to let you know what its going to be like. Don’t panic hun, just remember whats at the end of it all. I’ll post on here when they call me. Debs x

Hey dvadeb, I was first one down yesterday and had to be there at 6am and went to theatre at 8am, hope that helps give ya some idea xx

Hey perfectpru, still no admission time. Chased them up today and they said they would call me back in two minutes, that was at 3pm lol. Will ring them again tomorrow. Def need to know by then! x

Are you going through MYA or Parkhill hun? I went through Parkhill and had a letter 2 weeks before giving me the time and details etc! Really surprised, you need to know so you can get ya head round things etc! xx

I can’t believe you’re still waiting for an admission time – it’s ridiculous! What hotel are you staying at? I need one for my mum!

Stopping at ‘The Caribbean’ its on the same road as the hospital.

I know its crazy! Have gone through MYA Birmingham, when I called yesterday they said mine was the only admission time that had not been released and that “they were working on it!” Well like I said at 3pm on Tuesday I had not heard anything so I called them again of which I got a response of “Oh yes, head office were meant to come back to us but they never did. Give me 2 mins and I’ll call you back” Well its been a bloody long 2 minutes! Starting to get a tad annoyed now!

I’ve just booked my mom into the caribbean. Have you heard anything yet? How can the first to be done that day be the last to know their admission time – madness!

Not heard a thing, am about to ring them AGAIN! Grrrrrr

Just spoken to them, so much for 1st down. My admission time is 10am! Ridiculous that I have had to call and chase them again when they had received the time. Hope the hospital is better than the service I have received so far! This isn’t the 1st gripe I’ve had with them either! Well least I know where I’m at know and can prepare. Though if I’d have known it was going to be as late as that I wouldn’t have bothered to book the Thursday night there too and could have saved myself another £50, so far this op has cost me an extra £550, as I also missed out on their discount and they wouldn’t honour it the day after I had paid. Even though I paid early! Winge winge winge, lol x

Hey hun, God they have messed you about! Well I had a good experience with the hospital, really looked after me and were so caring and supportive. It must be so annoying but you are nearly there now, try not to let it bother you or spoil your experience hun, you’ll be fine once you’re there!! Can’t wait to read your story, keep me informed xxx

hey, I’m stiff but it is beginning to ease a little. having my dressings removed tomorrow which I can’t wait for. I had 325cc under the muscle. Good luck, I’ll keep my eye out for your story xxx

Hey perfectpru, how you feeling today? Are you all ready for tomorrow? We’re driving up today to the hotel hope to get there about tea time. HAve so much to do housework etc. as I know I’m not going to be able to do any for a week or so, lol. Hope your ok! x

I’m OK – same as you – going to do all the housework so that it’s tidy for when I get home. Are you nervous? I am, but have been for a couple of weeks so nothing new there! I am driving up tomorrow – you will have probably been done by the time we get there – good luck! Have a safe drive down – will no doubt catch up with you tomorrow! X
