BA 9th June with Mr Adamo!

Well i’m home with my new boobies! Very happy with the size Mr Adamo is brilliant. Had 340cc inspira high profile overs from a small 34b. Not in any pain at all, just a bit tight and uncomfortable. Feels weird to do things like wash my hands, its like i can feel the implant moving at the side! Eww! They are a funny shape at the moment but i know this will change.

Got to highgate just over an hour early as we didn’t know how lost we would get but we found it fine, very easy to get to. My admission time was 4pm but was shown to my room about 3:30 so that was good. A nurse came in not long after and took my temperature, blood pressure and measured me for my socks. Then a man came in to take me and my boyfriends food order..he needn’t have bothered!!!

Anesthetist came in about 5:30 and said i was prob going to be done in another 2-3 hours so they gave me a small glass or water. Had a throbing headache and just wanted to be done, so was very dissapointed that i would be having to wait so long.

Had a phone call from one of the nurses upstairs to say Tasha was asking for me, a girl i had spoken to on sofem, so i went to see her and she had already been done at 1pm, she had overs too and it made me relax so much as she was absolutly fine, stretching to get her drink and moving about ok. So was really good to see her. ( Shelley i asked after you when i had been done but no one got back to me, so sorry i didn’t get to see you)

Mr Adamo came in at about 7:45 to do his drawing on me, and said it would be about 45 mins to an hour. Still hadn’t got my socks and paper knickers so had to go and ask for them as they had forgotten to give them to me. I felt at having my op so late at 8:30 p.m i might as well have been a day case and got some money off, the whole point of being overnight was because i wanted to be monitored longer as i had low blood pressure at my last op. My boyfriend had his dinner while i was in theatre, and only got one of the things that he had actually ordered because they had run out of what he wanted, for over 4k i expected a much better service than i got. I was so late having my op i didn’t even get my dinner…so if they thought i was going to pay extra for my boyfriends they had another thing coming. So i felt pretty awful most of the night, getting up to go to the loo was horrible as i’d only had toast i was so weak and came over all faint and hot and had to get back into bed pretty quick. I didn’t feel that bad to call anyone but after my boyfriend had gone at about 11pm and i’d had my toast, they came to check my blood pressure a couple more times, which luckily was ok this time, but after that no one came in to see if i was ok. So quite dissapointed with the experience as others that had it done early and paid the same as me, had most of the day to recover, a nice meal and all night. I just had the night with no food. To me thats a daycase!!

Was quite daunting walking into the actual theatre had a nice nurse that walked me down, nice and chatty but then i was left with a really quiet and serious one…got on to the bed and they didn’t talk to me atall to reasure me, just getting on with what they needed to,,was late so i think they probably just wanted to get me done. All i got was a ‘small scratch’ and ‘going to be going to sleep now’ from the anesthetist. So was a bit rubbish. Slightly better nurse for when i woke up but just couldn’t wait to get back and see my boyfriend. Luckily he was allowed to stay untill 11pm. Got my breakfast at 7am really struggled to eat it as i’d been without anything for so long, and had to take another anti sickness tablet…left about 10.

So over all happy with the implants, but the service wasn’t great, not what i’d expect with a private hospital! Thats supposed to be 5 star!

Has anyone else that has had an admission time of 4pm been that late in going down?

my admissin time was 2 and i wasnt up from surgery till bout 7 or just gone laid on the theatre bed for ages like half hour before being put to sleep and i was sobbing a little and shaking telling everyone who would listen i was scared and they all ignored me one told me you should be happy and walked off gutted!

but id read so many stories on this forumon nice chatty nurses lol.

also didnt get checked on in the night which i thought i really would of as i was quiet a bit drowsy!

also asked for u but they never got back to me!

dr adamo was imensly comforting i found tho absolutley great when i saw him xx

i must say i feel great much better then expected just a bit stiff x

Aww Shelley thats awful….don’t they realise how scary it is. Can’t believe that, its just not good enough for the amount of money we have paid. When i feel up to it think i will complain.

So glad you feel good though, i know how scared you were about the pain. Are you happy with them?

My post op is wednesday at 12:30 but i might have to change it til the thurs as i might not have anyone to take me. Whens yours? xx

yep..sounds about right fiona…love my boobs and Dr Adamo but the service sucked !!

Thanks Jess. Atleast Mr Adamo made up for it, but it would have added to the experience to have a great 5 star stay. Its not something you do everyday, have private treatment. I bet if we were celebs it would have been different!! xxx

It sounds like some of these staff and companies treat it like a cattle market, in and out as quick as possible to make more money.

I am going in for mine on 30 th june, but i am not using any of these, am using rightchoice healthcare, and so far the service has been fantastic. Some other companies (not mentioning names) have been constantly ringing me trying to get me to book with them instead, and as soon as they open their mouth all i cant help hearing is money money money.

The person i have been dealing with at rightchoice has been absolutely fantastic, very truthfully, not trying to pull the wool over my eyes. I am having a BA done in aprivate hospital for £3050 with all aftercare included.

Not bad

I went to see another company before MYA who i found rubbish and they just didn’t give up, i ignored all the phone calls from them and in the end blocked them from my mobile. It was quite funny, i had an answer phone message from them that they left on the 9th when i was having it done..hehe!

Pleased with MYA though so far, just not the hospital.
