Hi girls,
I have finally had it done……they have arrived. I am so pleased with the results. I am still a bit sore and finding it awkward to get up after sitting still for a while, but i am so pleased.
I had the op on Wed at Highgate in London, and i was a day case. The whole day went by so quickly and there were no problems. I was up at 4.30am to get to london for 7.00am. I was shown to my room and made myself comfortable. Within an hour i was told to get changed into the knickers and gown. Then Mr Adamo came in to draw on me and take the pictures. He made me feel very at ease. Then i was walked down to theatre. Laid on the bed and before i knew what was happening I was waking up in recovery. I got the shivers from the aesthetic, but the nurse put some sort of hairdryer thing under my blanket to warm me up which was great!
When I was back in the room I was looked after very well. The staff couldn’t do enough for you. They were very attentive and concerned about your well being. My partner who had been waitng for me to return then went off to work so I could relax. Even tho there was a tv in the room, I didn’t even turn it on. The aesthetic completely knocked me for 6 and I was completely exhausted! I couldn’t get enough sleep. I was given the all clear to go home around 4.30 but my other half wouldn’t be back to get me till 6 as he was still at work – which was fine with me as all I wanted to do was sleep anyway. When my partner collected me around 7 I slept all the way back to my parents as my mum had agreed to watch over me for the first 24 hours as my partner would be at work so I had my mum waiting on me, which was great!!! Good old Mum!
Im now back at home and am feeling much better. I have stopped taking the pain killers, I only have the antibiotics left. Im not in any pain, as such, more of a discomfort than anything, which is bearable, it just takes sometime to get used to.
Do I have any regrets – none whatsoever at the moment. They are already starting to soften, but they are still quite numb. But I am loving the overall look. People keep asking me if im pleased and do they hurt loads – i think because i have been wanting a BA for so many years, plus I had done soooooo much research and reading up on what to expect – they are exactly what I thought they would look and feel like. I am so glad that I did all the research beforehand as I didn’t want to get caught out with any unexpected pains, problems etc.
Thats the only advice I would give out to all you girls getting it done – DO YOU RESEARCH – AND YOU’LL LOVE THEM !!!
Any questions – would be pleased to answer any x

Wow!! About the anasthesia, did it just feel like you blinked and you woke up the next second?? Having mine on the 14th.. All i’m scared of is the anasthetia. What sort of research did you do?? Pls tell me everything you did.. Im really scared have not slept well this last couple of nights.
hey kellyg bet ur so excited bout the new boobs.so was it al worth it then? im hping to have mine done in december but im so scared not so much of anasthetia cuz iv been put to sleep before but of the pain. iv heard that wen u wake up it really bad it feels like sum1 is ripping ur chest of.is it true? wer u in a lot of pain?i really dont no wat to expect?wat size wer u?did u have it under muscle or tissue? id be grateful if u cud help me.
Hi there,
I did lots of research on the durability, long term effects, read up on loads of peoples stories and just thought about it loads.
When they were about to give me the injection, I was aware that they were about to do it, but it all happended really quickly. I remember the mask going over my face and thats it. I was even asleep before Mr Adamo came in! The staff are great and really put you at ease so you dont have to worry.
When I work up after the op, I didn’t really feel any pain immediately, it only started to feel like i’d had the operation after about an hour or so. I wouldn’t really decribe it as pain either, rather discomfort. I took my pain killers every 4 hours so the pain never really broke through. The only time that you feel any pain, is when you move after sitting still for a long time and thats only a quick sharp pain on the incisions, which is expected really.
I had 300 unders and was 34A. Im not sure what size I will be as im still quite swollen, its looking like im gonna be a C cup. Im not that bothered on size I just wanted to be in proportion with the rest of my body. I have quite a wide arse and a small waist and small boobs always looked odd!
I think i have covered everything you have mentioned above – if i’ve missed anything let me know and i’ll be happy to email again xx

Hi Kelly, bet your over the moon with the results :cheer: i cant wait to have mine done now!! 2weeks 5days and counting lol I just wanted to ask what ur stats were before and what size implants you had etc xx thanks
Great story! Well done kelly, hope you recover really well and as quick as poss…i’m in this wednesday with Mr Adamo aswell, so nervous now, am all over the place with emotions! lol Ive got to be there for 7.30am, am i likely to go down really early hun? Hope so cos i know i’m gonna eb anervous wreck wed morn!! x x
Sara,
I think they get all the day cases to arrive at the same time and then just work their way through the list. I don’t think there is anything you can do to get in early. I was hoping to be the first to go down, so we arrived 30 mins early, but the waiting room was already full up with people who obviously had the same idea as me! I thought that that was it and i wouldn’t be going down until last!!!! But I was the first to go down, so you just dont know, its just luck of the draw i think!
Just remember to relax and try and enjoy the day, as after the operation you cannot move and its nice to sit still for a while and watch the world go by. If you are there on your own, remember to put everything on the table that you will need after the op – as you will have a job getting to them afterwards !!! LOL !!
Well good luck Sara and i hope it all goes well for you xx
Keep me posted on how it goes. (I was in room 209, by the way).
Kelly.
Sara,
I forgot to mention the sexy knickers and pads they give you as you are on your period!!!! Make sure you remember to take out your tampon as you shouldn’t have any foreign bodies in side you when they operate x
Kelly x
Oh great! lol was hoping i mite be able to wear a tampon, i usually wear both cos i’m quite heavy
suffer terrible with my periods!!
Think one of the other girls who is a day stay on wed hasnt got to be there till 11.30am, so fingers crossed that i’ll be one of the 1st down! Luckily my boyfriend is going to stay there all day with me, bless him, he can help get me dressed etc after!
I’ll def keep you all posted anyway x x
Hi Kelly
Congratulations on your new boobies! I’ve been away for a few days, so only just seen your story.
Three cheers for Mr Adamo
he’s fab. I’m seeing him on Thursday for my 7 week check-up.
Take care xx
Mr Adamo is fab! Hip, hip hooray !
Im having my stiches out tomorrow. Fingers crossed it goes ok. Im getting a bit woried about the right one as when i touch my incision over the plaster it hurts, where as the left one doesn’t. Im getting a bit concerned that i might have an infection, although the plaster is completley clean, no blood or puss or anything…. so im a bit baffled! ?
If anyone can shed any light on whether this is normal – would be a great help xx
Thanks xx

hi kelly,
if u dont mindcan u plz tell me wht size were u before and what size now.and isit all healed up now.how long do u think it exactly takes before you can start doing your routine work with the kids and all that,as i wont hav more than 4 or 5 days of rest.is that enough.sorry i asked u too many questions in one go.if u dont mind can i see your pictures asi will be booking my surgery with dr adamo.last question, does he do disolvable stiches?
Hi Pam.
I dont have any kids so i cant comment on that. I am going back to work tomorrow and im starting to think that a week off work isn’t long enough – so i can tell you that 4/5 days of rest with kids is def not enough. The only thing i can say is tho, is everyone is different and cope with things differently. The only thing i think i will find hard at work tomorrow is being tired and the long day. i have spent a week of lazing about the house, not doing very much and i get tired if i do some housework! i think its partly a comb of the aenestic and doing nothing.
I started off a 34A and i reckon i’m gonna be a C cup, although i haven’t been properly measured yet. I had 300 unders, which is also why i am taking a while to heal as they take longer and are slighly more painful.
I am having my stiches out tomorrow so im not 100% sure on whether they are disolvable or not. i think not, but mum thinks he may have used both kinds, disolvable for inside and normal ones for the corners.
I would suggest that you have as much time off as possible as it really takes some getting used to. i keep having muscle spasims which are really werid and catch you off guard – i have been told that its just the nerve endings mending themselves, but its still werid all the same.
I’ll keep you posted when i have the stiches out tomorrow x
