BA and nicotine replacement

I’m having my op in September and have already cut down on smoking so I’m prepared when the times comes. I’ve replaced some cigarettes with a nicotine spray which is helping out massively and would seriously recommend it to anyone struggling to quit. I was just wondering if I can still have nicotine replacement a few weeks post op or do I have to be 100% nicotine free? x
