i put up a big list of things when it comes to getting pregnant after having a BA, the only reason it’s not recommended i coz it could muck your boobs up, plus i dont know if their warranty would count if u decided u didnt like the way ur boobs looked after being pregnant…..

Here I’ve copy-pated my wall post:

Im having 20 and having a BA in June and plan to have kids at around the age of 25-30. A friend I was talking to brought up the good point of what might happen to them after you have kids! So I reasearched some information and thought I’d put some of the interesting info I found on this for others to see I’m just copy-pasting directly from where I found the info from different plastic surgeons….Just so you know it is NOT advised to have a BA if your planning on having kids in the NEAR future i.e. the next 1-2 years. But my info is based on if people are very young, having a BA and want to have kids more like 5 years down the line.

    1. Breasts will usually change after going through pregnancy:

many women notice a loss of volume

less tone and more sagging commonly occur

Implants do not prevent these changes, nor do they make these changes worse, but the relationship of the implant to the breast may be altered as a consequence of the changes from pregnancy.

At the time of breast augmentation, the implant is positioned to be in harmony with your natural breast. If there is much drooping of the breast, the implant position may no longer retain that harmonious position: it may be too high on the chest relative to the position of a now more droopy breast. This can be corrected with a breast lift procedure.

You might also consider a larger implant if you have had much loss of breast volume after pregnancy.

    2. Pregnancy will not ruin your breast implants. It may alter the appearance of your breasts. Some breasts will not change in appearance while some breasts have significant changes requiring future surgery. It all depends on how your breast tissue and skin stretch and retract. I have a significant number patients who, after pregnancy, feel their breasts look more natural because of the subtle changes that have occurred.

3.The part of your breasts that are your implants will not change, so the amount of enlargement and stretch is less than an imaginary twin sister with breasts that are the same size as yours without implants. After pregnancy, and probably more so if you breast feed, your breasts will likely lose some tissue volume, giving you less filling (to some degree as individual as each patient) inside a stretched skin brassiere. Fortunately for you, your implants do not decrease in volume or size, so you retain this portion of “fill” unchanged.

What this really means is that your breast implants are not a problem with pregnancy or breast feeding, and that if your breasts change enough that you would like them to be different, your plastic surgeon can discuss these options with you. You may still look great and need nothing, you may want somewhat bigger implants to better fill your breast skin, or you may wish to have a breast lift, with or without implant changes. Your weight after pregnancy also has a major impact. Enjoy your new addition; don’t worry about your breasts

I’m going to leave it there this is the site I got the info from http://www.realself.com/question/pregnancy-ruin-breast-implants

My surgeon also told me I can still breastfeed in the future (unless something went drastically wrong) which was a big issue for me because I really want to

I would REALLY advise you get them done AFTER you have a baby if your planning on having one as soon as that….

yea, it doesnt matter if you breast feed or not it’s all down to luck really when it comes to pregnancy…..obviously if it’s what you wanna do then noone can stop you, and dont let anyone try and stop you because its your life afterall!

BUT if you get a BA now and get pregnant very soon after, your boobs will definetely change shape, i.e they may get bigger while pregnant, get smaller after pregnancy, sag etc.

If you have implants in they will probably sag more than if you kept your smaller boobs for longer. Then once your finished having a baby and dont plan to have any more for a couple of years then you can get them done however you like without pregnancy affecting them. :)

I plan to have a baby in like 5 years or so, so it means my boobs wont change very drastically before i have a baby, but when i have a baby I might need an uplift afterwards etc, just depends how your body reacts, but it IS a big risk to spend £4250 for your boobs then if they change while your pregnant and your not happy with them anymore after pregnancy you might wanna go and spend another £4250 to get them fixed…..It’s just a big risk you’d be taking hunny bun xxx

because boobs especially bigger boobs tend to sag more after pregnancy, because what usually happen is they get bigger with your mammary tissue expanding to produce lots of milk to feed your baby with which stretches your skin…..then when your done being pregnant and breastfeed or dont breastfeed the milk goes away from your boobs and leaves them empty and can sag because of this…

plus i’ll have had implants in for a while so mine would probably sag more because my boobs will be heavier due to having a baby as well as implants

i would wait till you have had the little one then you will have breasts that you are much more happy with for longer. It can take up to a year for your breasts to settle fully after implants and becoming pregnant so soon could affect the way they look more so because they havent naturally settled yet. Why spend all that money to change the shape when you know that pregnancy will alter them and may leave you more unhappy with size and look than before you started. Its a lot of money and 9 months isn’t that long. Besides when your breasts expand in pregnancy it may give you a good idea as to size and will create extra skin that may benefit you before the ba. I had 32a breasts before i had my kids (they went right up to DD when i was pregnant which was great) and after having them i was a 32b and i didn’t breastfeed. I know it sounds like a long time but seriously it passes very quickly. I would seriously consider fixing them after the pregnancy not just because of the cost but for your own sense of confidence and self esteem because as women we are our own worst enemies and pick flaws and criticise ourselves far worse than anyone else ever could and 99.9% of women are self consious of their breast shape and look after pregnancy. But do as you feel is right for you. Good luck x

See I’ve never been pregnant, i’ve only just turned 20 and am in University but I have done/do Human Biology and have researched it quite thoroughly and have researched what happens to implants after you have been pregnant etc, and I have like a million little cousins and cousins who have had kids and I’ve seen what happens to natural breasts and how they changed lol
