Hey I’m just wondering if any mummies here had a BA with children between the ages of 5 and 1? I have 3 small children and just thinking how I’m going to recover and look after my children at the same time. I’m a single mother and family isn’t great. How long does it take to be back to normal duties as I can get help but the help won’t be for long. Help I’m worried big time!

Im 2 weeks post op tomorrow, and still cant pick my 14 month old out of her cot by myself, she is a lil chunk and i have had unders, i just dont feel safe and it hurts my incisions :/ Iv had a lot of help from friends and family to the point my best friend has slept every night that my boyfriends had work early! Overs are ment to heal quicker tho but unsure of how many days rest you need, if you pushed yourself and had to could more than likely do it earlier i just dont want to pay all that money to ruin them by doing so much too soon, we also got a play pen for in the living room so that i could sit with her and play without her running off here there and everywhere lol! Looking after my eldes daughter whose 6 has been alot easier i just moved all things id need from the kitchen to counter level for the first week xxx

Yeah I’m thinking about giving my middle one to her dad for the first week and getting friends and family to help during the day with the youngest. I’m going for unders as well. I’m a fast healer so hope I’ll be back on my feet in two weeks. If not 3 hehe I’ll try milk it with my family and friends 🙂

Yeah iv healed really quick but i think its because iv tried to take it easy, its emotionally hard and iv cried so many times but i can hold her on my knee, just not bending down to pick her up, definately milk it just get the best recovery you can, i just think it can take me 3 weeks to heal without putting pressure on myself or i could push myself and then end up doing damage and having to take even longer for it too heal, just need to look after yourself, its not often us mums can haha xx

My ba is 8th April. I have a 7 year old and 4 year old and I am a single mum.and family help isnt great.

So I am worrying how I am going to cope, it is easter holidays when I have my op so no school for kids so hoping that the weather will be ok for them to be out in the garden.

How soon will I feel ok to be out walking to shops etc.?

Ive booked mine on the 9th April so I will be recovering over the easter holidays and won’t have to think about anyone taking my 8 year old to school or to cover the holidays as i work mon-wed. she is really good so will be able to help me and can more or less entertain herself. My 2 year old will be at nursery mon-wed plus its good Friday in the holidays so hubby will be having a long weekend off work with easter monday too and can sort the girls out. My father in law is helping on the 9th and 10th of April so the girls wont be at home and I can relax. Still not told my 8 year old has anyone kept in secret from their elder children, I dont want the full school to know? Lol x

Everyone copes differently hun, I had my 15 month old by myself 3 days post op! And I was visiting my friend and went food shopping with my mum the day after! I think if they’re well behaved or can be bribed with a cupboard of sweets and some new DVDs you’ll be fine! Xxx
