I’m about to qualify as a midwife and what I can tell you is its very soon to conceive after this kind of surgery and you may run the risk of your scars stretching if you get pregnant now as the wounds will have only recently granulated and the scar tissue will not have formed properley yet. Your breasts change the most in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy and then if you gain weight during pregnancy (most do) your breasts may continue to change. Then postnatally when your milk comes in they will expand again and then eventually they will reduce in size but may leave your skin slack and saggy. Everyone is different and some women have very little change in their breasts but its impossible to know until you have done it!! If it were me I would leave things longer to settle but its not my decision!!

My boobs didnt change at all throughout my pregnancy with my 3 year old. My milk came and they grew but then returned to the 12 year old boy ironing board chest i had before. Hoping to have another baby next year, am 6 days post op. x

I’m two weeks PO and already trying for baby number 2 lol. I’m the same as ssmlb21 though, boobs only changed when milk came and then they went again so I know I’m ok. If you’ve not been pregnant before I’d play it safe as you don’t know how your breasts will change x

Sorry to say girls that the second time can be completely different to the first!! Every pregnancy is different and I had a mum last week that had no changes in the first pregnancy and didnt even have any milk come in after she had the baby and now in her second pregnancy she has gained 4 cup sizes and is leaking milk so badly at 20 weeks that she has to wear 2-3 breasts pads to soak it up!! Its a risk you take not matter how many children you have previously had and as a general rule you are more likely to produce more milk and have greater breast changes with each pregnancy as the cells in your breasts remember from the previous pregnancy and therefore develop faster each time.

Thanks for the advice 5stonedown. Unfortunately I had pip implants thats why I’ve had a re-aug before starting trying for my next baby, had I not had pips I would have put my re-aug off until my family was complete. Fingers crossed my boobs don’t change with the next one too much or I’ll have to put up with saggy boobs until I win the lottery!lol :) x
