BA completed on 17th Marchby Mr Adamo – Highgate

Hi ladies,

Just wanted to post about my BA which was completed yesterday as I read everyone’s stories coming up to mine which really helped.

The whole process was facilitated by lovely staff and a nice atmosphere at Highgate. I was admitted at 1pm and taken to my room. The anaesthetist and nurse came to see me followed by Mr Adamo at 2.45pm. Wasn’t sure on what size I wanted to go but Mr Adamo recommended a 410cc to take me from a 34A to a 34DDwith high profile partial unders. I’m a size 8/10, 5’4″, 52kg so was a bit worried they’d look too big. He was really lovely and made me feel at ease. I was taken down to the theatre at 3.30pm and given anaesthetic. The next thing I remember was waking up and telling the anaesthetist that they needed to give me more anaesthetic as I was still awake and would feel anything to be told that the op was over. I had a look at my new boobs and burst into tears – was really weird to actually have boobs!!!

Was taken back to my room and looked after by a nurse all night who brought me painkillers and sleeping tablets to help me relax. I was discharged at 10am this morning. I’ve been slightly groggy from the pain relief but haven’t felt sick at all. It’s a weird pain. I thought it would hurt a lot more than it did. The pain is more like the feeling you get when you exercise and pull a muscle. I have a really tight feeling across the top of my chest and my scars ache. I’ve not really had any problems using my arms.

I absolutely love my new boobs. They’re a bit of a strange shape at the moment as they’re sitting very high and am hard but will look great when they’ve settled down. So pleased I went with the larger size of 410cc over 380cc. Have had a 34DD sports bra on today but it’s feeling very tight. Once the swelling has gone down I think they’ll be a DD which is exactly what I wanted.

Good luck to all of you girls who will be having boob ops. It’s one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself. Any questions let me know.

Mr Adamo is great. He really put me at ease. I was in tears when I got to the theatre. Wasn’t crying or really distressed but my eyes wouldn’t stop watering. It’s quite overwhelming when you get in there and realise that the next time you’re conscious you’re going to have boobs. Very surreal. Although I’m really achey today I would have it done again tomorrow. It sounds weird but I can’t stop looking at them or touching them to check they’re still there. Lol. x

Congrats hun, I’m having mine with him on Wednesday and can’t wait! Bricking it a bit too and worried about pain etc afterwards as I have 2 children to look after but I know it’ll be all worth it and can’t wait for the summer, we better have a nice one this year!

Thats so reassuring thank you. I can’t imagine how surreal it must be knowing that in about an hour your going to wake up with big boobs! It must be such a great feeling though, i just can’t wait now. I think its the waiting thats making me more nervous. Want it over with so i can stop over thinking everything.
Hehe i’ll probably be like that, touching them…making sure that they really aren’t rice in tights anymore lol!!

I’m having partial unders and can’t decide between 300 and 340cc. Mr Adamo has recommended 300 but will speak to him again on the day I think. Your rice in tights comment made me laugh, I’ve been wearing mine in a sports bra to work so that my collegues don’t get too much of a shock when I’m back lol!

Lol!! That is a good idea so people don’t notice. I think i might do it and gradually add more, although i’m a dog groomer so would have to make sure i don’t get them wet…could look dodgy! haha! xx

congratulations Dollybird on your new boobies. I also had Mr Adamo at Highgate, he just makes you feel so comfortalbe and in safe hands Happy healing, and bet you can’t stop looking at your new twins!!!
