    Hi ladies,

Let me start by telling you about my two days prior to the surgery firstly a bus went into the back of my car !!! 😯 and then the following day i lost my fiance car key to his audi!!! and we had no idea where the spare was!!!! :FOU: so the day before the surgery i had no car to take me to the hospital but lookerly managed to sort a hire car in the end…

Ok i had my BA on Tuesday 2nd March at Manchester Lifestyle hospital. I was supposed to be there by 7.30 and had been told due to me being diabetic i would be first to theatre. I left my house at quater to 4 in the morning (i live in sunderland) i had to pick my mam up from Middlesbrough…

Ok so the morning wasnt going exactly to plan for starters i arrived at my mams house and she wasnt even awake yet she forgot to set her alarm what a nightmare!!! Anyway we managed to be back on the road for around 5.15 and my mam lives about 2.5 hours from the hospital half way down the m1 my sat nav decided to die and as if the day hadnt started great already i had forgot the charger …I called the hospial and the lovely receptionist managed to direct s once we hit manchester .. I arrived at the hospital around 8.30 and everyone was there waiting for me so within the first hour i had been taken to my room, picked my meals to eat whilst there, been placed in a beautiful pair of paper knickers and a theatre gown and had been drew on by the surgeon!! by half 9 i was walking down to the theatre with the nurse and i met me anethatist who was …direct didnt really say much…next thing i knew i was waking up in my room and the clock showed 1.45 yes thats right i had been in theatre for over 4 hours and i woke up alone :FOU: .

I called for the nurse who explained my mam was at her whits end and she had sent her out for a walk. Apparently i had beeen back in the room quite a few hours but when i was getting put to sleep it took them three attempts to knock me out so to speak so that is why it had taken me so long to come around.

I woke to and had no bra on, no tapes and no drains by was i happy apparently mr traynor my suregon doesnt use them and he has people going through theatre like a convaytor belt he does a min of 10 surgeries a day 😯

Anyway i can confirm the staff where lovely food was delicious and pain wasnt to bad. my stats were siz 12-12 and a 38b to begin with i have had 460 overs put in and i must say they look massive.

I know some women say no pain and best thing i ever did i can honestly say i am still on the fence i have boobies that look like cones currently and wonder when my nipples will feeel less like they are about to be ripped off, my new twins are very hard and sore at prsent and i wonder when i will start to feel like they are a part of my body.

I am glad i had them done cos i really had nothing before just am a little aprehensive about the post op bit any advice or experinces you can give me would be much appreciated.

    Sorry to have gone on.

Thanks everyone for all your support

I’m 12 days post op. Had antibiotics for 5 days after. I had partial unders and have been able to lift my arms above my head since day 2 although it ached a bit. For the first 10 days my boobs have sat so high on my chest. The skin was completely taut and they kept swelling up everytime I did anything. They’ve started to soften slightly in the last couple of days. Returned to work today and really wished I hadn’t. The driving and changing gears hurt and I was in pain all day. :-( x

also, i did write this on another topic but if you’ve just had your op maybe you’re better to ask, supposed to be going on a night out and drinking alcohol 8 days after do you think this will be ok? x

I had my op on the 17th March and had my first night out on the 27th drinking lots of alcohol and was perfectly fine. I took some ibuprofen before I went out as they swell up when I’m standing up and moving about but didn’t have any problems. Just watch out for really busy places and people bumping into you if they’re still feeling sore chick x
