BA in 15 days, what happens about the contraceptive pill? anyone?

same as above really, do i take the pill the day of my op? do i have to come off it for a while? confused lol x

You should have been told this hun it will be in your paper work but I think it’s two weeks you have to come off it for. Ring and check with your nurse or go through your paper work chick xx

im sure its two weeks before as holly said, and the reason is because it effects your blood levels and something else pretty technical, yes im really blonde, its also supposed to be two weeks after (if i remember right), for the same reasons xx

2 weeks before and 2 weeks after because it thins your blood xx

I came off about 3 weeks before as I finished my pack. I just went back on it yesterday (9 days post op) as I had come on and wanted to start taking it properly as the packet said xx

I stopped taking mine last week and I’ve got 10 days till my BA. The nurse definitely told me to stop 2 weeks before. Also no aspirins as it thins the blood.

stop taking it 2 weeks before(even if in middle of pack) and 2 weeks after..i started again after about 17 days po…just started on the relevant day as I couldnt wait for my period lol…

I got told to stop 2 weeks before my op date and start again 2 weeks after my op xxx
