I’ve got my BA in 6 weeks now and just wondered if anyone had any advice about what I should be doing to prepare? Got my pre op in 2 weeks as well, does anyone know if the nurse will advise what size sports bra to get cos I am so confused otherwise?!

    Thank you xxx

start moisturising your boobs now to help skin streach to try prevent streach marks there is a bra called macom which is not a size it adjusts with your boobs a little expensive 30.00 but its worth getting it as you dont know the size you will be after swelling and then when swelling goes down you are still ok to wear same bra x x

A cheaper alternative could be a sloggi stretchy sports top, they give support and stretch nicely. I got mine from Debenhams £9.00 each I think. But it could depend on the amount of support you’ll need after. My surgeon said I didn’t have to wear a support bra afterwards unless I wanted to, but everyone’s different.

Another tip, make sure you have someone to look after you for a few days after x

Thanks ladies :) I’ve got some rescue oil, should I use that and moisturise or just one or the other… and when do you think I should stop using it before my op? xxx

Oh and I’m thinking of getting one of those macom bras but not sure what size to get, do you think the nurse will let me know? I’m a size 8 and 32b at the mo, having 380cc overs so not really sure what size I would need… gosh I’m so useless lol x

i WAS REALLY CONFUSED ABOUT THE SIUZE OF BRAS TOO ESPECIALLY AS I WAS UNDECIDED BETWEEN 340 AND 380S. IF YOU GET THE MACOM BRA THEY EXPAND WITH YOU AND YOU BUY THEM ACORDING TO BACK SIZE IN SMALL MEDIUM AND LARGE ETC (HAVE A LOOK ON SITE OR GIVE THEM A CALL). THEY ARN’T CHEAP BUT YOU GET 10% OFF BECAUSE YOU ARE WITH MYA. MINE IS FAB, AND BECAUSE THEY WAY THEY DO SIZES YOU WILL ONLY NEED ONE BECAUSE THEY EXPAND AND CONTRACT WITH YOUR BODY, SO ALTHOUGH THEY ARE EXPENSIVE YOU ONLY NEED ONE, THEY ARE REALLY COMFY AD GIVE LOADS OF SUPPORT. lIKE I SAID I COULDN’T RECOMENT MINE ENOUGH ITS GREAT. WHATEVER YOU DECIDE GET FRONT FASTENING. XXX

hey hun, Cocoa butter is better than oil also like the girls said get a Macom bra as the cups stretch to allow for swelling and it is front fastening so through the two weeks of recovery you dont have to move to much. Also a great website i used is

    http://www.breastimplants4you.com/your_breasts.htm

gives you tips and checklist and great answers to all questions. xxx

Thank you ladies you’ve helped me too! I’ve got my BA in two weeks or so…having 300cc overs with uplift (from 34b/c). I might just go and order one or two macom bra’s…and start moisturising with co-co butter…good luck all xxx
