BA internal stiching how long to dissolve?

Hi girls any advice my right boob feels fine but my left still causing me pain n pulls a lot when I even walk I have to hold my left boob (funny looks lol) spoken nurse as I am concerned bout left booby and she said the dent could be internal stitch pulling inside but wondering anyone else face this experienced this? As I’m wearing sports bra level 4 high impact these babies don’t move yet I’m still uncomfortable with left side I’m 3 weeks 2 days PO? X

Ages Hun! I had a Nitemare with mine, they were still pokin thru parts of my skin at 8 weeks, made a rite mess 2, they can’t dissolve if there’s any stitch on the outside of ur body. So if any poke thru get the little bastards. Not heard of em causing grief like you’ve got tho! Xxx

Omg really…oh god but they will disolve and this dent will go away! It looks like its being pulled from the inside? X

Also my left boob looks smaller than my right…

Give it time cocolove,not sure how long the stitches take to dissolve inside, but I can imagine it will be a while,I have dissolvable inside my nose,Im not expecting the clear ones to dissolve for a couple of months,they are so sore today.xxx

I am trying Tina just seems to be getting worse, I’ve stopped my daily pictures to weekly because it just showed it was getting worse but I’m being positive it will sort itself out and if worse comes worse mya will look after their customers but Tina I can’t lie totally gutted I’ve started side pics 2 because I love my right side implants dropped looks fab front and profile lefts dent and well looks a cup or 2 smaller darn left side lol x

Have a look at my pre op pictures and the post op,12 weeks then look at a year post op honey,you still have a long way to go,it is so early for you,we over analyse everything because we want to look perfect,they will change,and if they did’nt for what ever reason,you are with MYA so do not worry.If you try and imagine say the stitches on the outside the scars are like raised and quite puckered when the stitches come out,so inside will be tight until the stitches dissolve if that is what’s causing the dent,hang in there honey,by summer you will be all healed and here advising people who have had the same worries as you.xxx

I no Tina ur right *positive thinking* once the inside stitch dissolves the dent will be realised! How I’m thinking and yes I have nothing to worry about with mya! Just so gutting become noticable in bra now but thanks 4 the reassurance Tina ur a star! Defo hope no1 else does have this but if they do hopefully yes I can assure them its sorted lol x

What are dissolvable stitches made of?

In the UK, most dissolvable stitches are made of:

polyglactin: this should lose 25% of its strength after two weeks, 50% of its strength after three weeks, and fully dissolve after three months

polyglycolic acid: this should lose 40% of its strength after one week, 95% of its strength after four weeks, and fully dissolve after three to four months

There are several other different types of stitches. In general, if your stitches are dissolvable, they should start to break down within four weeks. Some may take six months to disappear completely.

Arr Nikki thank u very much! So can be up 2 6 months…how mnay checks do u have with surgeon? Your 6 -8 week check up then what? X

I’m the same, my right boob is fine but I keep getting a pain in my left boob, like a pulling sensation and my nipple is really sensitive!

I spoke to the nurse and she said this was common and part of healing, hope it settles soon Hun xx

Ohhh were same yes isn’t the pulling uncomfortable I have hold my boob haha! I can deal with that at the moment its just the pulling dent! Mmmm x

Coco I got exactly the same, I’m in so much pain with my left and my left dents in too. I had internal stitching on left but not right so all I can think of after seeing this is it must be the internal stitching, I have a Macom bra so mine don’t move either but feels like the stitches are pulling open inside it’s killing, was just about to call the nurse as I’m really worried, never felt pain like this first time! Pains go through to my back and side feel like crying, oh and my left looks loads lower than my right but I had it lifted so it would be same, Im in pain with the bra lifting my left boob but don’t want to take it off as its dropping and really don’t want to go through this again.xx

Hun totally no how u feel…it does hurt sometimes in the bras…I actually thought the other nite I had back ache from my big implants but It was my left side I even took tabs and a hot water bottle!!! I just saw ur pic I’ll add 1 4 u look at now x

Just looked Hun, mines like that on out side of my stitches, I’ll add a pic when on lap top, the dents in my pictures which are in my album are from 1st ba, when it come out of its pocket, it’s been pushed back now so that dents gone now, well hopefully anyway. But like yours mines on my stitches scar, I’ll let you know when I add pic. I’m gonna call to speak to someone tomorrow about it meant to be back at work and driving but doesn’t look like I’ll be able to drive xx

Oh god I’ve added few more I was abit embarrassed at 1st but we all share stories…I was told after I’d seen nurse I was ok 2 drive but when I attempted I couldn’t hurt way 2 much changing gear as left side made me feel sick so I have not tried again but back to work tomorrow so I shall try in abit how I feel if not mother will be my chauffeur bless her but I’m 3 weeks 3 days sooo hope can drive…do u think I may need surgery again then omg that’s absolutely worse thing if I do….thing is its not actually on my scar line its just above it? X

I sent pics 2 nurse last week but she said all looks ok scar wise no infection so why she said internal stitchs but I may send some pics 2 my pc see if she can show my ps…?

No I think you need to wait for the 6 weeks as they might just be the stitches inside, I was made aware mine might dent in a little on my left scar. I think we all worry as we spend a lot of money and go through the pain etc, I know what I want and to be honest looking at them today I feel miserable, I kept telling myself not to look at them but can’t help it and just get down, yours look great coco, the shape and projection, I don’t have that although it’s what I wanted and asked for, I love my right but got a feeling my left muscles been ruined, just no fullness at the top, wish I could upload pics from phone, left seems to be going back down again ahhhh :,( xx

I no u totally get urself worked up…I will be positive because I can’t have another surgery to be honest 2nd BA already I’d not want another one GA, the worry, pain, build up of scar tissue on scars etc…I think because they are so new etc and my 1st BA was super easy literally 1st day after surgery I was out shopping (had that in my head this time big shock lol) but I’m keeping my fingures crossed 4 us sweet I do love them just I’m getting paraniod about in bra it being so obvious in size difference but 6 months is really when you get the true idea so we have a longgg wait! X
