BA (make up)

May sound like a silly question but ..I know you cant wear make up for your op but can you wear it to the hospital as long as you remove it before? honestly cant stand not wearing make up, cant leave the house without it on lol! xx

Hmm I was told not to wear anything at all, not even moisturiser because of some of the perfumes and chemicals that are used in makeup need to be kept out of theatre; it needs to be as clean and sterile as possible. Also no nail varnish or even deodorant…eau naturelle lol. My Mum took me to the hospital so I didn’t have to go out in public but I still wore my massive sunglasses to hide my face! xx

oh my god thats scary!!! i have to travel loads that day and with no makeup on–KILLER lol xx

if your travelling, put some on then take it off with a baby wipe when you get there maybe ? i was gutted to take off my semi permanent eye lashes, i love them so much! but travelled in with my hubbie so didnt wear any make up but did put deadrant on and wiped it off when i got there xxx

thanks for your help girls! not happy about this no make up thing though, i hate my skin:( but i suppose i’ll have to do it if i want boobies lol xxx

I wore a bit of make up to hospital, removed it before op and pit it back on before I went home. X

powder maybe?more natural and easy to remove and huge sunglasses lol xx

I wore make up to the hospital and removed it outside the front door with wipes lol it was funny to the passes by but i will not leave the house with make up so its fine hun, you will be in your room for a little while before anyway so you will get chance to wash your face too I put make up on after surgery too lol thats just me! xxx

haha were all as bad as each other i actually put make up on as soon as i got back to my room after a csection with my 2nd child lol and i think i forgot to take my mascara off before the ba thinking about it now xx

Haha this made me laugh girls, make up was honestly the last thing on my mind yesterday. I was that out of it and in pain that I honestly didn’t care what I looked like so try not to worry too much xxx
