Well………………I first saw my co-ordinator Jane, who was so lovely and we discussed BA and Tummy Tuck. After a few weeks of debating whether I could go through with it or not I decided to go for it! Jane was so understanding. I had my Consultation with my surgeon, who again was very nice and professional.
I checked into Highgate Hospital 19th July, I was very very nervous to say the least. The Nurse came to see me, then the anaesthetist came to see me and she was just the nicest person, she made me feel at ease, as I was so worried about the operation. I was so worried about having both procedures.
I was walked down to theatre by one of the nurses, the anaesthetist was ready waiting for me.
A few hours later I was awake, not feeling too good, the anaesthetic had made me feel so sick. All nurses and staff at Highgate were fantastic, even down to the waiters, who were constantly bringing me a glass of fresh apple juice with ice!
My surgeon came into see me after surgery and also each morning whilst at Highgate.
I did have drainage pipes both for my breasts and tummy, I must say these were very uncomfortable, especially when being removed.
After day 2 I was starting to feel a bit better in myself, not so sick. I was still very sore as to be expected. The nurse manager Karen called me to make an appointment for me to see her a week after surgery. Karen was so nice to me and very caring, as Im such a wimp!
Iv just been back to the clinic today for all dressings to be removed, and my results are just amazing, only 2 weeks after surgery. I also saw my surgeon who was pleased with my recovery.
I was in Highgate for 2 nights, my stay there was just great. Im now on day 14 post op and I feel fab, again still a little sore, but nothing to bad at all.
My experience with MYA from start to finish has been great. Iv seen a couple of comments on here about the aftercare not being too good, but for me it’s been fantastic. I also have to mention the receptionists and the girls that I see pottering around are so friendly and welcoming.
