Hey, I had my ba yesterday and was just wondering how long I will feel stiff and heavy discomfort for?? I’m struggling to walk about at the moment and had no sleep at all last night. Everytime I try to get up from the sofa it feels like my implants are going to burst out :-( Any advise would be appreciated. I got a bag of frozen peas on me at the moment which helps a bit XXXX

I’m day 7 hun, I have to say it does get easier each day, I’ve been really surprised how quickly I am recovering. I’m still feeling stiff and my breasts are tender with some swelling but I’m managing to move a round a lot better now. I’ve found it easier to sleep with one of those orthopaedic v shaped pillos behind me, I think you can get them for about £6.99 in Argos.

Hey annemarie I have one of those pillows, from argos too :-) I’m just suprised of how stiff I actually feel. My boobs are harder today than yesterday as well. Did your boobs get harder and more swollen the 2nd day??

hey lisajones1989, i know how you feel my boobs are really hot at the mo and i feel stiff i cant wait to get in my own bed tonight i didnt sleep very well last night either it felt so heavy on my chest its not so heavy today but the bruising underneath my boobs going down onto my belly is really sore and im taking the pain killers every 4 hours even if im not in pain cause its easier to keep the pain away than to get the pain back and then try to get rid of it, if you know what i mean was you a day case or a overnight stay i was in room 214 xx

Yes and the 3rd day too! They did start settling down though on day 4 and the swelling is slowly reducing now, with much much less discomfort and hardness.

Hey 22k, I wasnt expecting the stiffness to be this bad, but glad its not actual pain. More of just a pain in the arse lol I was a daycase and I was in room 308. I wish I could relive yesterday again, it was like a walk in the park lol

I cannot wait until day 4 now as I think I should be feeling much better then. I had 460’s

Lisa- I am now exactly 2 weeks post op and arm movement are about 90% now. In my experience, the worst is days 2-5 and each day then got better. You need to sleep elevated for at least a week, it helps decrease the swelling. My boobs started softening from about day 9. I keep attempting to drive but I get held back because my car has heavy doors and I don’t want to push it even though I can manage. You might want to take things easy, have short walks in the house or garden to relieve some stiffness. I started sleeping lower to my back from about day 10. I still get the odd pain or heavy feeling of my boobs when I get up, but it is bearable unlike before. If you get some stiffness on your back, get a hot water bottle against your shoulder blades, this will help you relax. I was advised by the nurse to use peas on my front to help with the swelling, but I did not do it… you might want to try it.

I still feel the tightness, but it is expected.

    Take things easy girls.

And here was me sitting here thinking I feel great as I had them done a few hours ago… I knew it was to good to be true lol. They feel as if someone is leaning on them and one of the scars is slightly painful, I’m dreading waking up now lol :-(

Thanks keepmesweet!! I feel much better today, less pressure on my chest. Although my belly looks like i’m six months pregnant so has anyone used laxitives to reduce constipation???? If so what one?? Would be ideal if I could pick it up from asda or tesco.

Don’t worry Ladyluck, you should start recovering after day two, I had almost a full sleep last night and felt loads better this morning. My stitches are starting to iche a bit today though and having weird pains in my boobs but not all the time. Just now and again,
