Back from seeing consultant, very upset

I have just got back from seeing my consultant and my head is all over the place.

He says I wont get the result I am looking for as my skin has started to lose its elasticity. Says if I have an uplift I will be back where I started in a year and if I have an inplant it wont look full at the top.

He suggested I get a second opinion and so I will be back on Tuesday seeing somebody else.

Has anyone else had this experience or got any good advice.

Who did you see today and who are you going to see on Tuesday? As you know I haven’t had my consultation with the surgeon yet, thats on Thurs and my ba is booked forJanuary. Hopefully someone on here will be able to give you some good advice. Try not to worry about it, (easier said than done I know) Tuesday might bring some better news for you. xx

I’ve just had an uplift and ba today (in Highgate now)!

Just wanted to say that I was told the same, personally I think more than anything they have to inform you of every potential scenario just incase the worst was to happen. I wouldn’t worry too much or let it get u down. My breasts were extemely empty and saggy 32c/d and was told if I had an uplift and ba that I could potentially end up having another one done in a few years time due to the poor condition of my skin (very elastic).

Just think, with everything we do in life there will always be negatives. I was happy to accept this advise because personally my breasts couldn’t look any worse than what they were!! My before pics are on Sofem, Name samii84, message me bk for password if u want to see. There will be new pics in a few days, however I’m all bandaged up at the moment :$

I know saying to someone ‘please don’t worry’ is like telling me NOT to eat chocolate, it just won’t happen, but honestly, they have to inform you so u know of the potential risks so to speak.

Lizzie, I went to see Mr Alvi on Tuesday and will be seeing Mr Traynor on Thursday for a second opinion. I just hope I feel a little bit reassured. I am sure Mr Alvi was just making sure that I knew the options for my body and old saggy boobs.

Sammi, thanks for your reply and yes I do think they have to give you a broad picture of what may happen, but I just can’t bear my boobs and just want to get my confidence back. Hi samii, good to hear everything went well had my first consultation with p-coordinater going to see surgeon on monday. who did you have your surgery with, and may i look at your before pictures will pm you on sofem if okay. Happy heeling kirstie xx

you will def end up having it done! cos there will be a surgeon out there who will do it for you!! i had a prob b4 i had mine done! and was gutted!! the surgeon was refusing to do mine cos id had a baby 10 months before! and he said i should wait till next summer!! i was gutted but after a 2nd opinion another surgeon agreed to do it! so you will be fine! let us know how it all goes and keep us updated!! I’m back home now and all bandaged up BUT from what I can see and feel i’m completely over the moon.
