hey ladies i am going back to work tomorrow (6am-4pm all week 5 days!) and was wondering what i should and shouldn’t be doing? i am a bar manager so do beer deliveries, running food, up and down 4 flights of stairs numerous times to get to the cellar and office, changing barrels which probably weigh more than me! can i do light lifting above my head like emptying a bin full of general rubbish or should i refrain from that? i don’t really want some of my staff to know i had a boob job yet but as i usually do all these things i don’t want them to question me either, any advice would be helpful. i am 2 weeks post op today xx

Hey Helen, they say light duties from 3 weeks post op as two weeks meant to rest or if in admin work not too bad. But your not allowed to lift arms right up until 6 weeks when you got the all clear. So no lifting barrels etc just light duties x

Hi Helen, I agree with Nicky light lifting only and don’t lift your arms above your head. I went back to work last Thursday as I didn’t have anymore holiday. I work in an office so no manual labour but god did I ache!! Who’d of thought picking the phone would have been so hard.
I was really tired too it took it out of me, so just take it easy and listen to your body. xx

thanks ladies 🙂 i think i am worried about people being like ‘well why can’t she do that? she usually does’ because i was quite active and pulled my weight more than i should’ve, i could lift full barrels which weigh more than me and move them around the cellar so just worried about what’s too much for me or feeling lazy. kind of wish i had a more laid back job haha xx

This is such a helpful post for me as I am in the first appointment stage, and also a bar manager, haha!

Tell them you’ve done your back in that’s what I did! And it’s not technically a lie as I got far more pain from my back than I ever did from my boobs! Just means people don’t question you being a bit steady or slow! X

technically i have because the aches i got from driving felt like it! haha i spoke to the rest of the management team today and they’re okay with light duties which is good because that’s how it’s going to be irregardless! don’t want anything to ruin my results or make me anymore sore or in pain than i already am xxx
