bad reaction to antibiotics

hiya, I have had to stop taking my antibiotics as they didnt agree with me, I had terrible belly cramps and was at the loo all evening! My nurse told me to stop taking them asap and just carry on with the pain killers, which I actually dont really need, but they are anti inflamm ones which will help with the swelling. I had my ba on Fri and I feel really good today! The only thing I am scared of is that because I have stopped taking the atibiotics, does that mean I can get an infection now? Anyone know?

I think they are just given as a precaution , and good luck mine is on wednesday feel so sick x

yeah, let me know how you get on sue, I found having a good cry before I arrived at Highgate helped! I sort of got all of my mixed emotions out before I arrived, then I was too emotionally shattered to care once I was in there!lol!

Amy.. my nerves are starting to get to me slowly… I am having my Ba on the 11th of August at Highgate too. Who is your surgeon? I will be going with my hubby who would hopefully support me 100%, leaving my 2 kids (16 & 9 yrs olds) at home by themselves or a friend (still trying to decide) cause I still don’t know my admission time! whehhh!

How are you sleeping? I am dreading this thoughts! What did you wear after the operation? 😳
