Bandage feels soooooo damn tight

Is this normal? I’m finding the stick on bandage thing so painful and just want to rip it off, especially as my nipples are popping out of it and rubbing against my PJs!Tried my sports bra over it yesterday but found it even more uncomfortable so have taken it off. Is it ok to just have the bandage for a couple of days and is it supposed to feel this bad? The worst is when I try to sit up from a laying position. My hubby has to lift me up but the feeling as I sit up is unbearable, like my boobs are going to burst out of the bandage! They look so ugly and cone shaped at the moment too. Just wanted to check this was normal, thanks lovely ladies xxx

I had that too, it was one of the worst feelings I’ve had po. My tape was really pulling and hurting my skin. I was desperate to get it off and when I did it was such an amazing relief!!! I think some girls are told different things about the tape and whether or not to wear a bra too. I was told to wear both but I know that there are girls on here that have been told just to have the tape on it’s own- at the end of the day it’s a bra in itself isn’t it. I took mine off 4days po. Thenurse said it’s completely normal to feel very uncomfortable because of it CIA you’re continuing to swell after op etc.xx

Thanks Hun I daren’t remove it but it’s totally driving me crazy! Only got til Friday before I get it removed but yeah you’re right, it is like wearing a bra anyway. Did your stitches and wounds not suffer with you removing it early? Xx

Oooo yeah the itching!!!! Normal clothes? What are they Charlie?? I’ve got my sexy big whopping button front PJs on and plan to stay that way for at least a week hehe! Xx

Kellymc80 those bandages drove me crazy!!! and because my op was a saturday I had to keep mine on 11days until I seen nurse the following tuesday, but my god the relief when they are off is amazing and you feel like there your’z you’ll just love them, xx

Nothing suffered at all Hun- just wore a bra after taking the tape off- the dressings and scar strips stayed exactly in place. only told to keep it on four days, anymore and I would’ve lost the plot I think, was so uncomfortable!! I had my post op the other day and was told my scars look really good at the moment so ok as it stands. I cried when i took the tape off cos it’s like seeing them for the very first time!xx
