bathing at 2 weeks post op be careful….

I was 2 weeks post op on tuesday from uplift and implants,I had a few steri strips put on and was told to take them off today.so I braved my first proper bath,I was so nervous it may hurt scars ect!! Didn’t want to get shampoo on scars so after iv finished in bath and let steri strips have a good soak (so they come off easy) I had a quick shower!when I started to peel strips off I felt and woozy,everything went dark and noises were muffled and bam I passed out.was only out for a matter of seconds but so bloody scary.my boyfriend helped me to bed to sit down and got me a drink and put the fan on me,took a good 15 mins to feel normal again. I think it was because it was my first bath in 16 days and I do like my baths hot so that prob didn’t help my bloody pressure!!so any ladies having a bath for first time just take it easy!!xxx

The same thing happened to me, hun. I was having baths, no hotter than usual, and I came out feeling faint and really dehydrated. Was scary! x

oh god steph i feel sick for you! i might have been taking the strips off, im very queasy with stuff like that! glad your ok xx

im 2 days post op and had a shallow bath today.. made mistake of sittin on my ass and got stuck cos i cudnt lift myself out… took me half an hour . the stress of it made me throw up lol xx

I took my strips off in a cold shower, I absolutely LOVE hot baths but I can get quite dizzy etc from them if I’m not feeling 100%

Thanks for sharing! This never even crossed my mind – my bf works away and I faint at just the sight of blood/scars etc so its more than likely I’ll be the same… I’ll have to only have a bath on a weekend when he’s home lol. Thank god I have a shower (and that he’ll be home for the first week) Hope you’re ok now, and you susie! X
