Bathing/Showering After Stitches

Can someone put me out of my misery early please… Im 1 week post op today and having my stitches out Thursday… Literally DREAMING about having a shower lol

Are you allowed to shower the day your stitches come out? PLEASE SAY YES!

My skin on my stomach and arms is so dry from gypsy washing with a flannel in the sink everyday!

Ahh yay, how you feeling after your op? I know its gross isnt it? Well I was thinking as soon as the stitches come off I could shower only to be told by the nurse I had to wait another 3 days (10 days in total) Gutted Felt well nasty!! Though some of the girls have been told they can shower early. I would just be careful not to soak your scars for too long

Who was your surgeon? Cos im guessing they will all have the same advise? Mine was Mr C… (Please dont say Mr C!)

Im feeling GREAT! Had no painkillers, no pain either… few little twinges that last for a second or so but no pain at all. Tender ribs for the first 3-4 days but they feel fine now too Even had a little Valentines Delight last night with my fella And felt even better for that! LoL x

Haha, mine was Mr T. What clinic do you go to? Will be interested to see how long you have to go. I just assumed I would be able to shower after day 7, wasn’t warned about that pre op

I was at Highgate for my op and Bristol is my clinic altho I have to go to Cardiff for my stitches cos the Bristol nurse covers both places.

I had 310 soft touch inspira overs from 34A and Im in a 34E bra Swellings been amazing… only under my armpits really, hardly anything on my boobs. And they’ve settled really nice for a week… Can still feel a little bit of implant RIGHT round the side of my boobs, close to my armpits but i think this could be swelling. They look really natural and feel fairly soft too which Im really pleased about.

Im so happy Was terrified on the day about how much pain i’d be in! So really glad i’ve had a good experience with it. I was washing my hair myself over the bath from Wednesday last week – the day after my op! LoL x HATE HATE HATE not being able to shower tho, thats been the worse bit of the whole situation! You know when you just wanna have a good scrub! Top to toe session with the exfoliating gloves is in need! Cos the plasters come round my sides onto my back almost (Im very small lol) I cant even get the shower and pour the water down my back… Im salivating just thinking about how amazing it would be! LoL x

I really hope they say I can shower! Might just go for it even if she says not to, and cover the scars with water proof plasters… needs must! x

Have you been measured again cos I remember you said you were unhappy with what you were measured as? x

Yours look so natural, I’ll be happy if mine end up like yours x

Ah I’m so glad you had such a good experience hun Thats a huge increase you have had too I’m sure that will settle I can’t really feel either of my implants though the right one is taking longer to drop.

Thats fab, I couldn’t wash my hair till atleast 10 days op, wasnt in pain it was just too uncomfortable!

I know what you mean, was murder for me and when the nurse said I had to wait another 3 days to shower the steri strips off I was gutted

You will probably get awyay with that, just make sure they are very waterproof lol!

No havent been measured again, as that whole process shattered my confidence, I have put in a complaint about the lady as she basically laughed at me, was really horrible.

Ahh thank you, that’s really nice of you to say, I’m happy with how natural they look, just wish they could have been a cup size 2 bigger
