How soon can you have a proper bath after the op? x

I am 3 days p.o when I spoke to the nurse she said it would depend how you are healing when you go for your p.o app x

U can have shallow baths but my nurse said you have to wait till your 6wk post op til u can hav a proper soak in bath xx

I been having baths since 2 weeks post op I cant stand showers, I just try not keep my scars in water 2 long an wash my hair before or after I get in so there less germs in water xx

Can you have normal showers once your given the all clear at after 1 week post op though? I can’t go 6 weeks without a proper wash! lol

U can shower I was told properly 7 to 10 days, only reason y they don’t like u to have a bath is because ur washing and sitting in the germs basically. With showers its running down u and clean water. I’ve only got a bath so nurse advised me to have water to my hips n then use a jug and water from the taps to wash upper body xx
