Baths?

How long post op do we have to wait until we can have a proper bath?

My surgeon (not with mya) said 6 weeks xx

@ALI I was saying the exact same thing to my husband today. Mine feel heavy and achey today so could just soak them in a nice hot bath lol xx

I have been having really shallow baths as we don’t have a shower and it has been so frustrating not being able to lay back and soak and relax! Just feels like I am sat there in a puddle haha

I can shower now, I’ve been able to shower since 1WPO xx

@kelly sorry I’ve just re read your comment and realised you say you don’t have a shower not that your not aloud to shower :-/ xx

@km1988 yeah I can imagine! I hated not being able to shower, I can’t imagine not having a shower, I’d be so frustrated!x

Im 6 days po an i had my strapping off yesterday, i thought i could shower after i had that off but they put steri strip on an told me i cant shower until i take them off. They told me to take them off myself next thursday. I was gutted i was so looking forward to a shower! They all say different things so annoying xx

@lauraj1987,that is so annoying, she put a steri strip on me and said to remove it that same evening. She said as long as I washed with sanex zero I would be fine, as you can’t get normal body wash on the incisions yet xx

My surgeon said I could bath as soon as my dressings were off, which I did and it felt great letting my boobs bob around, they felt so light for the first time in ages! It didn’t cause any issues for me.
I did get a bath before the dressings were off but only a shallow one to freshen up as I really hated not being able to shower and felt smelly from lounging around all day doing nothing!
