BBC3 – TV OPPORTUNITY FOR THOSE CONSIDERING SURGERY:!:

Are you aged between 18-25 and looking to change an aspect of your appearance that has bothered you for some time?

Is there a major event coming up in your life that has prompted your decision?

Do you feel that others do not understand why you want to do it?

Do you want to change the opinions and prejudices of those who believe surgery is unnecessary and vain?

Here is an amazing chance to give your side of the story and educate others about your journey.

BBC3 are looking for individuals to take part in a documentary about body image to dispel misconceptions about the ‘types of people’ who have surgery and educate viewers about the thought processes and emotions that go into deciding to book a procedure.

This could include video diaries, surgical consultations and an account of your post-op recovery.

If you are currently considering booking a breast augmentation, liposuction or rhinoplasty and would like to share your story, we want to hear from you!

This is such a good idea!! i would love to do this because i think so many people frown upon cosmetic surgery. They dont see the joy it can bring to people, like it has to many of the girls on here who have had hang ups on their boobs for years.

I’ve wanted my nose changed since I was around 10! I’ve always been self conscious and don’t really look people in the face when I talk to then, I’m convinced they’re looking at it and think it’s huge!

And my family are being cruel about it saying I’m being stupid and telling me it can go wrong and could ruin my face – which I don’t believe at all!

My boyfriend 100% supportive though, which is fab!! xx

Sounds fab, am 22 and I’m booked in for closed rhino May 10th, have wanted it done for years since someone asked if I had broken my nose Family don’t agree but r warming to the idea now (finally)! There scared it will totally change me an I may even get addicted to surgery!!! Xx

I’d love to take part in this Though i wouldnt be sure whether i could be on tv as im getting finance for surgery through Myfreeimplants, so could have surgery in 2 months, or 2 years lol

But this sounds great! You will have to keep us posted on when they plan on showing the documentary

im having rhinoplasty on the 21st of may, its bothered me for 8 years and im having it done just in time for my 20th birthday and in time for my mums wedding in september!

I have spent the last 3 years trying to find the courage to have a BA and finally I have decided If I don’t do it by aug/sept of this year I never will. I 22 years old but look like I’m 17 body wise which is why I have been concidering this procedure for so long now. Xx

I would love to get some Lipo…after 2 kids I’m thin, but can’t get rid of the little ridge in my belly and would love slimmer thigh’s…even at 7st 12 they are big! Unfortunately I’m too old at 37….but I can highly recommend getting a BA to anyone, I wish I’d done mine years ago!

This is a fab idea. A lot of people do think it’s just vain having surgery they don’t consider reasons.. I am book for my ba on the 11th of April to fill out flat boobs from having baby x
