bed bound argh! like a turtle! ?

hey ladies i got home this afternoon and the pain is awful, feels like i have 2 bowling balls on my chest crushing my rib cage and i am struggling to move when i am propped up in bed. how long does it take for the discomfort to wear off or for me to get used to it? feel a bit like crying. i went to reach for my painkillers, dropped them and then cried because i couldn’t move to get them. think i might be trying to be too independent too quickly! xx

Hey! I know the feeling of crying uncontrollably at nothing. My boyfriend put my hair in a bobble. It looked so rubbish it made me laugh, but laughing is so painful that I burst into tears and couldn’t stop! I’m 18 days po now and pretty much back to normal. Just be patient it gets so much easier 🙂 hope your healing is going well! Xx

the band is absolute agony! i am upset because within 12 hours my tummy has bloated horribly so i feel fat too! i feel like a menopausal woman! ? hopefully the pain eases asap xx

After 6 days you will start to feel more independent but don’t rush as its not worth risking anything! I cried so much over the past week and was so frustrated that my mum wash shaving my armpits, washing my back and hair it was horrible but I’m now 20 days and I am loving my new additions! With the band just make sure it is constantly pulled down at the the back, mine kept raising so it cut into my armpits and just make sure it’s sitting on top of your muscles on your boobs. Just keep on top of your painkillers, set an alarm even if you feel like you don’t need them! It’ll all be worth it ? Xx

I’m 7 days post op and feel near enough fine now, just a dull ache. I actually went out last night for my friend’s 21st ? My friend was guarding me and my boobs all night but it was fine lol. I had unders and thought it would hurt for longer but I can near enough do everything just fine now. I washed my hair and dried it myself with my head bent over the bath at 5 days post op. It gets a lot easier, don’t worry! xx

thanks ladies this is reassuring me a lot 🙂 i have a wedding on Saturday so hopefully i feel okay then. i feel hungry but not eating too much, just drinking loads of water! been taking codeine today, do we have to take it with food? i am struggling to force myself to eat to take them if so xx
