Had to do a joint application to get £1,000 on finance. It’s been accepted in principle and they’re sending paperwork out. But what does that mean? Do you think itl be a yes. x
Nope, I got accepted in principle. FML rang me today and said oh sorry we can’t do it but MYA have said they can offer you X amount, yeah thanks £900 less than I effing need!! Better than a point blank no though I suppose, however no nights out for me for a couple of months to save up lol. xxx
Oh boo, thought they’d be a catch. Will have to wait and see I guess xx
I got accepted in principle, they sent me the paperwork, once that was all sorted that was it! Lol
I suppose it depends hun x
I’m bumping this to the top as it’s a genuine question and don’t want it missed ahead of all the crap!!! x
I think in principal it means they accept you on the information you have provided, but then they will go away and do their checks they need to do and then it will be fully accepted if all is ok from that. They accept a mortgage in principal, and i think thats wot it means! Hope that helps lol
Thanks jokes that makes sense. Just hope it’s all ok then xx
I meant jodes – sorry Hun think I need to go to bed lol xx
Nope it just means they’ve got your paperwork basically. They still have to run credit checks which you could fail on or some other random criteria.
newboobies – they said I needed a joint application so my boyfriend rang them and spoke to them. The guy did something while he was on the phone then came back and said he had a perfect credit score and that it had been accepted in principle and would send out the paperwork asking for bank statements, payslip and ID. Does this not mean they have already carried out the credit checks? It’s so confusing x
they have agreed mine in principle too, it just means you fit the criteria to apply but when they recieved ur paperwor back they will check it and then give you a definate yes or no. im getting so annoyed now, i have sorted all my paperwork out to send back been waiting for my step dad, now hes saying i only have 2 months worth of bank statements so ul ahve to wait til i get my next 1 through and even the 2 that hes copied for me to send hes only copied the top part without showing all transactions…grrrrr! so not gunna be able to send it back till next week, and then im probs gunna ahve to wait for a desision x
laura – it’s so frustrating isn’t it!! My boyfriend works for his mum and dad, he gets cash in hand and doesn’t get a payslip. This is 1 of the things they ask for. I think he has all his bank statements together but I bet they’ll kick off about the payslip. It’s just horrible having to wait and find out isnt it!! x
yeah i just want to get it all sorted and out of the way so i can stop worrying! cause if they say no am gunna have to find another way of getting the pennies, my step dad is self employed so some of his jobs are cash in hand too so he will earn more then what it shows on the statements and accounts letter but just have to hope that whats on them is good enough! x
Fingers crossed for you Laura, I think you will be fine.
aww thankyou you too! xx
