    Hi girls

Just a quick update. I am 7 weeks post op and finally went to get measured the other day. I was so nervous and very cautious about where to go due to hearing some horror stories, mainly about M&S staff being rude to implant girls and causing a great deal of upset.

Well, I had never been measured before and used to wear heavily padded 34B ‘s from primark and peacocks. However, my surgeon said I was more like an A than a B. I had 350cc hp unders and I didn’t feel I had gone big at all.

Anyhow, the last couple of weeks they have totally softened so I thought now is the time to go get measured properly and my first stop was Debenhams.

The lady was very nice, measured my back and then looked at me in my sports bra before going and coming back with a non padded mesh bra for me to try in order to work out my size. It was a 30F and looked huge however the fit was near perfect. She told me a 28FF would probably be the perfect size but they didn’t have any to try in that size.

Next stop Boux Avenue which I have to say was the nicest most helpful shop I have ever been in. At first I was sat to wait for the lady to become free. As it seemed she was just chatting to another member of staff I started to panic thinking this was not going to be a good experience but the lady was amazing.

She measured my back size as a 30, asked what kind of bras I liked styles and colours and came back with a handful for me to try. However the band felt too tight on the first one so she took them all back and replaced them with 32’s. After each try she would come and assess the fit and there was no awkwardness when I told her I had implants. In fact, she said the surgeon had done a great job making them look natural. A few bras later, it was determined I was a 32E in non padded and a 32F in padded bra’s. I felt no pressure to purchase any and the lady even wrote the sizes on a card for me along with details of the bra styles I liked.

After my experience, I plan to shop at Boux Avenue for most of my bras, as not only do they do the prettiest bras in big sizes but their service is second to none.

No way do I look a 32E or F….probably more like a D at most but I am thrilled with my results and already feel as though I achieved what I wanted. Now all I need is to save up for bra shopping and a wardrobe change to show these beauties off lol. Believe it or not, I am still in a sports bra … they are just so comfy lol
