Been very stupid, will my op be postponed??!

Hey girls. I have been very very stupid! My op is this Thursday and I was just reading through my pre op notes. I took apirin last monday and tuesday!!!!! Damn, damn, damn, damn, damn! Do you reckon they will postpone my op? I am panicking now. Am tempted to phone the emergency number, but its not quite an emergency is it. Oh God, I really hope it all goes ahead. Anybody been here before??

Nearly!! I had a headache n my friend offered me asprin but didnt take any. Only did i realise day after reading through my notes you cant!!

I think if you’ve only had 2 you should be ok, but make sure you let them know. Text your pc the details n she will find out n get back to you.

The only thing u can do is just contact your pc or call immediately the mya clinic that u’re with and tell it to them. i think they suggest to do not take any aspirin just cause of the bleeding that may be more than normal if u do take it. speak with them because a friend of mine has been operated also if she took it. another one no. honestly just call them and find out!

They tell you not to take asprin as it thins your blood which can cause problems with surgery, as it will make it harder to clot. Your best phoning your nurse or pc and asking them, not worth the risk of not letting them know.
