So i like to look amazing for when it comes to gettin my new found boobs out, i have a hetic life working, have a 18 month old daughter and everything else mums and people have to do so going to the gym is not an option really. I have recently invested in an exercise bike which is helping my legs look rather good but i really like to buy something i can use at home to achieve a good stomach, any suggestions? xx
ab crunch rollers are great- allows you to work on abs without getting a sore neck. Something like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Confidence-AB-Crunch-Roller-Counter/dp/B003N2UU8Y
i prefer them to exercise balls- i tend to get a sore back and neck with those and it doesn’t work as well. A good exercise is also the plank: http://www.drclay.com/2009/10/are-planks-the-best-ab-exercise/
that doesn’t require any equipment, but it’s difficult at first if you aren’t used to it
the problem i have is that i have arthitis in my wrist so can do push ups cus my wrist swells and then i cry lol. so has to be something not to strenuous xx
Visible abs are 80% down to diet, 20% exercise. Whilst you need to exercise them to build the muscle, you also need to have low body fat to make them visible too. So whilst you need exercise to drop body fat (your bike will help with this), you can do specific exercises to build the abs too (not sure what you do at the moment..)..you can do basic crunches with/without light weights and plank/side plank to start with. Personally, I find you can do as good exercises without equipment, as with it..so I wouldnt spend money !! Good luck chick xx
the ab crunch roller is not strenuous. probably plank might be a bit sore for you. Hope that helps xx
Thanks hun xxx
Oops yes Polly, was forgettin you are post-op, sorry chick!! i wouldnt do any ab exercises before 6 week mark chick x
Im pre op sweetie not post. Thats wishful thinkin lol x,
I’d agree with Kezza, I’ve got flat abs and I keep my diet really clean, I do occasional sit ups in Body Pump, but generally cross trainer, the plank, core strength excercises that focus on making your core strong and making sure you hold your tum in when you excercise to keep the muscles tight. I’m not sure that machines are better than just doing it yourself xx
I’d normally agree- I’m a big fan of the plank, but PollyDolly says she gets sore wrists from arthritis- so I don’t know that it wouldn’t be painful. the rollers are only about £10 as wel.
