Hey girlies…
Just wondering where the best hotels are nearest to Highgate, I would like something quite nice as the boyfriend and I are staying there 2 nights (1 before and 1 after the surgery) nice and easy to get to and from the hospital preferably. I have looked everywhere on the internet and come up with Premier Inns, Holiday Inns and Comfort Inns lol… my lovely boyfriend has agreed to pay for the hotel stay himself, therefore I wouldn’t like to milk it TOO much haha! But he has said he would like me to be relaxed and enjoy every part of it
Sooo any personal experiences etc would be greatly appreciated!!
P.s. When do we have to stop eating the night before?

I stayed at Premier Inn Elstree which was about 8 miles away hun. Went with a premier inn cos have stayed there a lot before and I knew what we were getting! It took about 20 mins in the car, £60 a night. We passed two holiday inn’s on the way to the hospital though (one was an Express).xx
Yes no food for at least 6 hours before admission. My admission was at 10am so I last ate at 7pm the night before. You can have plain water up until 2 hours before admission x
Thanks hun, I will check out that Premier Inn!! I have seen a nice Holiday Inn in London Kings Cross Bloomsbury… but don’t know anyone who has stayed there? Not even sure how far away it is, at work at the moment so I’m trying to sly it on the internet!! Haha.
Ahh that’s okay then, I never eat breakfast anyways… although I think I will die without my morning cuppa!!

Lol me too, it killed me missing my morning cuppa…. Then when we got to highgate, the lovely nurse offered my bf tea and biscuits…torture!!! lol
If you shop at tesco and have points you dont mind using on a hotel then my husband found one called Raglan Hotel, says 6 mins away from hospital.
On tesco website comes under ‘Classic British Hotels’
Think he said its around £150 mark but you’d end up using £50 of your tesco vouchers. All depends how much u wanna spend as well. xx
I stayed at the Comfort Inn.. Its not glamorous but there is a cinema and few restaurants on the complex so you could have him take you out each night your there or even watch a film in the cinema
x Breakfast was good.. maybe as I was starving the following day! x
I was looking into the Raglan, it looks lovely x
ics3 – does look nice. ive got points to use so doesnt quite feel the same as parting with money
haha xx
Thanks for the replies girls!
I heard that Comfort Inn was good because of the restaurants etc… plenty to entertain yourself.
I will need something to take my mind off of the op the night before! Especially as we’re not allowed to drink alcohol! Haha…
I will look into The Raglan as well thanks hun
