Any1 else having their implants bi-plane? Is this the same as partials or r partials unders? Really confused, trying to gauge how much support I’ll need during recovery. Bi-plane is the muscle splitting technique which sounds so painful. Wud just like to hear anyone’s personal experience but everyone just seems to b over or under!!!! Xx

Iv not heard it being called bi-plane before, whether that’s just me or not is a different story, but it does sound like partials, as they split the muscle and place your implant under the first layer, instead of the third (that would be full unders, if I’m right, and only used in reconstructive or gender surgery as a rule) xx

Hmmm Mario said he’d do it that way cs it wud giv me a bit of a lift without actually having to do a lift if that makes sense, it was biplane he circled on the forms in my consultation but I seem to b the only one having this. Maybe u shd just stop thinking about it….got 100 days to go yet, I’ll hav no hair by then if I keep stressing about it lol!

    Thanks for comment joannabella. Xx

biplane and partials and unders are all the same thing, just diff names! i seen a few surgeons and the 2ns one called them biplane, the 3rd one called them unders.. had unders coz i had little breast tissue and was at risk of seeing edge of impant, so the top of the implant is under the muscle and the bottoms not! full unders are only used in reconstruction, people who have had their breast removed xx

Thanks peeps. It was jst that I’d seen alot of girls saying they had very limited movement after unders so I was wondering if splitting the muscle was goin to b worse so I cd b prepared but now u have explained it to me I feel better. So I shd pretty much just think of it as unders. X
